A New Beginning

Chapter 2

Noah picked Julie up at 7:00 P.M., 30 minutes before the team list would be posted. Since it was on their way to the rink, Noah pulled in at Starbucks and said, "my treat"

Julie was shocked. She didn't even know if he liked her. Noah told her to stay in the car and she did. he came out a minute later with a cappuccino that said on it: LOOK UNDER THE SEAT. Julie felt exited, confused, and anxious all at the same time. She looked under the seat to see a bouquet of roses with a note in them that said: WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME??? YES! Julie screamed while jumping up and down the best she could in her seat.

At 7:20 P.M. , 10 minutes before the hockey list would be posted, Noah and Julie arrived at the rink. although 45 people tried out, only 40 were there by the time the coach came out with the list in hand. They saw the first 10 names. No Julie, no Noah.The next 3: no Julie no Noah. then finally! the last 2: MacDonald, Noah and Owens, Julie. Julie felt like she won the lottery! Not only did she feel amazing that she got on the team, she was so happy Noah was on the team with her!

After figuring out that they only have hockey practice twice a week, Julie and Noah decided they should spend more time together. Feeling on top of the world, Noah asked Julie if she wanted to go on a celebration date to get a blizzard from DQ. Like a panther, she pounced on the opportunity and said yes. They were both feeling terrific, amazing, and extremely happy! Noah invited Julie over for supper and to meet his parents.

Once Julie arrived at Noah's house, they invited her to sit down and have a drink. Supper was delicious and she got to talk a lot to noah's parents. Soon after Julie got home from supper at Noah's house, she got a text from Noah. She was exited to read it! Once she opened it and read it, she was instantly shocked. It was the worst text she got in her life.
