The Daughter of Loki

Chapter 10

Loki woke up in Hela's room only to find her gone. Naturally, he assumed that she went to breakfast with Sif of something. He pulled himself out of bed and began to look for her.

Thor had obviously left for his trip to Midgard, how he loves it so much there Loki would never know. He asked several people if they knew where she went, but all either ignored him or looked around before saying no and shuffling off

Loki couldn't stand it. Hela was his only daughter. He had just found her again and was even beginning to earn her trust. How could he lose her? He burst into the throne room where Odin sat and looked him in the eye.

"Where is my daughter?" he shouted.

"That is none of your concern Loki. I told you to stay away from her, to leave her be, but I found you sleeping in her room. I sent her somewhere that you won't find her, or take her." Odin answered calmly.

"You sent her with Thor didn't you?" Loki asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Odin nodded. "I forbid you to go after her." he said. Loki wasn't listening, he was thinking of as many ways as he could to make this man die. He hides Hela from her, stood aside and watched Sygin get killed, and then as soon as he built a new relationship with his daughter Odin just sent her away again. He deserved it, didn't he?

Odin snapped his fingers under Loki's nose, snapping him out of his thoughts. "What?" Loki snapped.

"As your king and father I forbid you to go after her. It's for her own good." he said sharply.

"Are you still pretending to be my father? Pathetic, you are not my father, and you never will be!" Loki shouted. "You can claim to love me, but we all know why you took me, and it wasn't to be a son. I was a peace offering! You took away my daughter! No kind of father does that!"

Odin stood there, dumbstruck. Then he scowled. "You listen here Loki..." he began.

"No! No you listen! You've claimed to love me my whole life through good and bad! But this..." he said gesturing to the pair of them. "This isn't love. This is torturing because its fun."

Odin remained silent for that. Loki took his silence as an end to the conversation and stormed out. He barrelled past Heimdall at the Bifrost and sent himself to Midgard.

Hela was having loads of fun. She painted Tony's iron suit a pastel pink and purple. That would take a while to come off. She put grasshoppers in Natasha's cereal. She set off a firecracker in Nick Fury's office. She dyed Bruce's hair orange. Then she replaced the pointy parts of Clint's arrows with marshmallows. After that she pushed Steve into the pool. Life was great.

Well, it was, until they caught her.

"That paint's going to take forever to get off!"

"I almost turned into the Hulk!"

"I can't hit the target with marshmallows!''

"Grasshoppers are gross!"

"That water was cold!"

"I though a bomb was in my office and I evacuated everybody!" everyone screamed these things at her together.

They ended with a chorus of, "Argh! Go to your room Hela!"

Hela smiled and skipped to her room. She used her magic to summon the video cameras that she'd installed to see their reactions and plugged them into the computer she got.

She rolled on the floor laughing hysterically at each of their reactions. She was in a good mood until she heard something.

"Hela? Where are you? Why did you go?" Loki's voice rang louder this time. That probably meant he was closer. She decided that she did live her father, but she didn't want to go back. Despite getting in trouble every day, she was having fun. Asgard didn't have as good prank supplies as Midgard did, and she didn't want to give that up.

She shook her head and walked out, forgetting her punishment and set up more pranks to brighten her spirits. She was almost caught by Colson but managed to avoid him. No matter what she did though, she couldn't get Loki out if her head.

She thought back to the day she played with her siblings and she felt a pang of homesickness. As much as she loved it on Earth, Asgard would always be home if that's where her family was.

Her true family. The one that would support her pranks. The ones who would stand by her and defend her. She could feel tears form in her eyes but she couldn't stop. Soon they were spilling down her face.

Steve walked into the hallway and saw her curled into a ball sobbing her heart out.

"Hey, hey. I'm sorry we were a bit hard on you earlier but..." he began, faltering when she looked up at him.

Her eyes were red and puffy. Her nose was runny and tears streaked down her face. "Its not that." she said shakily. "I just... I want... I wanna go home!" she began to sob again.

Steve awkwardly patted her pack. "Maybe we can set up an agreement. You know? Like, you can stay here a month, stay there a month. So on. How's that?" he said softly.

"That would be great but I wish that I could take you there or bring my siblings here." she said. She wiped her nose on his shirt. "Sorry." she said when she realised what she did.

"No it's fine. There are more?" he asked.

"More Loki kids? Yeah. Sleipnr, Nari, Vali, me and Fenrir. Oh and Jormungandr. I think he lives here, in the ocean." Hela said. A pang of longing hit her with each name. What she would give to bury her face in Sleipnr's mane. Or prank someone with Nari and Vali. Or roll around with Fenrir playing tug of war with Thor's shirt. Tears welled up in her eyes again.

She wanted to go home. No, she wanted her family to live on Earth with her. She ran out and stood on the patterned piece of ground and called out

"Heimdall open the Bifrost! I want to go home." She cried.

As the colours engulfed her she heard someone scream her name.

"Hela! No! I'm here! Don't leave me again!" it shouted. Then she stood in front of Heimdall.

Hello! I know only a few people read this but I will try to update as often as I can. My mom is loosening up on the whole no electronics thing. So I'm allowed to update more often.😃😃😃
