Hela had sat in her room for days after the parade. The only thing running through her mind was that Loki had seen her. She had never learned to fully control her powers, now her magic was backfiring. She would try to teleport somewhere and end up two feet away and incredibly dizzy. If she tried to make an apparation of herself she would end up creating an explosion. She knew the apparation thing was possible because she'd heard about some people do it before.

Drella had started to become worried. She had heard explosions coming from Hela's room. She didn't want the child to find out about her father just yet. Racking coughes cam from her room, her husband was dying. Where would the girl stay when their time on Asgard was done? She could feel herself getting weak.

Hela tried to keep her spells under control. It seemed that they only reflected her emotions. She needed to get them under control quickly, if she didn't then she would probably destroy the house. Just like her emotions though, the spells seemed to be doing one thing. Panic.

She could hear coughing from downstairs. The old man Angus was in his bed. Hela knew that he was dying, Drella was getting weak as well. She knew they would be gone soon. With the way people treated her around there, she knew no one would take her in when they died. She needed to find her father as soon as she could.

Her mind started to clear up, her spells started to get under control a bit as she slowly became herself. She needed to find her father. Any hint that she could get was worth listening to. She went outside to question neighboring kids, but a messanger nearly knocked her down.

"Loki has escaped!" the messanger called. "Loki has escaped, anyone who knows of his whereabouts is to turn him in immediately."

Fear gripped Hela's chest, did he escape because of her? She felt a tug in her gut as the sudden panic gripped her and the old couple's house blew up.

Hela whipped around at the noise. "No!" she screamed. He scream pierced the air. People poked their heads out of the window to find out what had happened. A few adults came up to the sobbing girl and put their arms around her, those were the people who knew what it felt like to lose someone they love. Everyone else however were not so kind.

"Witch!" they cried out at her. "She's a monster!"

Hela looked down at her hands sobbing, she never meant to hurt anyone. Especially not her fosterr parents. She'd lived with them for thirteen years of her life. She felt a small flicker of hope that one of them might be alive, but she knew deep down that they were gone. One of the men who had stayed to comfort her got up to check the house for survivors. Everyone knew that they were both dead though.

He rummaged through the rubble and pulled out Angus's body. Then he dug around some more and picked up Drella. Hela was done screaming and crying, she held in another sob and buried her head into her hands.

A young woman slowly reached out her hand toward Hela's arm. "Come child, whatever I may feel toward your father is nothing right now. I can't let you just sit out in the cold, come with me dear, you can stay with my family."

Hela nodded, she wiped he face with her sleeve and got up to follow the woman. She kept her head down, she was ashamed for having cried in front of all those people. She never cried, ever. But she had an excuse to cry that time.

She hadn't noticed the mention of her father. She felt the same feeling of recognition that she had whenever she saw Loki come to her. At first she thought that he had found her, but she couldn't see anyone ahead of her. Nor could she see him behind her. She kept her head forward and her chin up as she marched through the street.

Loki paced back and forth in his cell. He remembered the child that he'd seen spring up in front of him. Luckily, he was the only one to have noticed, but he knew who the girl was. There could only be one possibility, the girl had to be his daughter Hela.

She looked like him, dark hair, pale skin, green eyes. She had the magic abilities that he had. He could even see so much of her mother in her. He hadn't known her for very long, in fact, he thought that Hela had died with Sigyn. No doubt she would be a trickster though.

He closed his eyes and remembered her face. She was growing up beautifully no doubt. She had enough sense to keep her powers hidden though. The look of shock and fear on her face when she had seen him looking at her told him that much.

He needed to see her again, needed to get out of the cell that he was in. He created an apparation of himself and then teleported himself outside the castle. He began walking around. A few soldiers ran past him out of the castle.

Loki smiled at the fact that they hadn't even noticed him. About half an hour later they returned to the castle. They had looks of shock, fear and amusement on their faces.

"An explosion!"

"Witch caused-"

"Among the commoners."

Loki had heard enough. He ran into the villages. He went to the street that he'd seen the girl in and saw her again. She was being led away from a half burned pile of rubble. Possibly the house she'd lived in all those years. She was wiping her face with a sleeve as she followed a young woman.

A man in the crowd turned around and saw Loki. "Get a guard!" he shouted. Loki cursed under his breath and ran. He barreled into a group of soldiers and was gripped tightly. If Loki still thought that his daughter was dead, he would have gone with them willingly.

This time however, he was desperate to tell his daughter who he was to her. He was desperate to see her again. He struggled and fought against the soldier who was holding hiim, another came up from behind and hit Loki on the head with the hilt of his sword. Darkness swallowed him as he was carried to his cell once more.
