The delusional world around him a little bit too obsolete. It seemed as if he was either way ahead of his time or way back.
He had only drunk once before and that was when he and Leona snuck out to a pub. This sadly reminded him of her...Or maybe it was not her but just the idea of her.
He tried to leave the kitchen only to get blocked by some octopus tentacles. Oh wait, it was just his ruffled spiked hair. He shoved them off his eyes.
"Damn." He thought, "I shouldn't have drunk."
"Ron!" It must be Leona.
"Yeah?"
"You are drunk?"
"Hmm mm."
"Are you okay?"
The blurred outline seemed to clear up a bit and form a beautiful face which belonged to Leona.
She said, "Shawn is over there. You two wanna meet?"
Ron wanted to laugh, but he was too drunk to. Look at this girl. Her ex was drunk trying to forget her in a pity attempt of a party her boyfriend organised. And she wanted a formal introduction of the two of them.
He smirked.
"Get away," he snapped, "I don't wanna talk to you."
It came out louder than he intended to.
Leona stepped back. There were definitely tears in her eyes. His vision wasn't clear enough through the alcohol to see it but he could feel it, for sure.
He wanted to apologize but didn't. Something in the alcohol sealed his lips.

For the next half an hour or so he wandered around the house, trying to dodge the couple or hiding behind the  people making out whenever Shawn or Leona were on his way. They were dressed very beautifully. Leona as Mavis and Shawn as Jonathan from hotel Transylvania. He would have appreciated them if it hadn't been what it had been.
He wanted to rip apart the orange wig Shawn was wearing.
When Chris saw Ron's condition, he got hold of him and tried to introduce him to the sophomores of the party. They were all faces Ron was seeing for the first time. Chris tried hard to keep the stumbling Ron upright and make him feel welcomed but it was so hard a mess.
"And this Ron," he said at the top of his voice, trying to outplay the stereo. "Is Rachel, my girlfriend. We started seeing each other a couple of weeks ago and..."
Chris was saying more but Ron's eyes fixated on this girl Rachel.
"Eleanor?"
