Ron couldn't pay attention in class. He was constantly thinking about Eleanor. He did nothing of his given homework. He didn't go downstairs when his mom called him. He was totally cut off from his entire world.
And even Leona wasn't calling him so that he would stop thinking about Eleanor.
He faithfully kept starting at his phone, waiting for a call or a text or anything.
Nah!
It wasn't easy this time.
He went to the window and stared out.
He could see Billy's house from his window. The windows were dark. He couldn't see anything past it.
He wished Eleanor was telling the truth. He wished she actually lived there.
Suddenly Ron heard a loud scream from one of those dark windows, "No!"
And he could bet that that beautiful honey husky voice was of Eleanor.
What was up! And why in the world would she shout like that.
"Please Billy. Don't!" She shouted.
What was happening?
There was no way that Ron was going to bear that.
He went downstairs to his parents, "Mum, dad..." He said, panting.
"What's up, Ronnie?" His mom seemed curious.
He would have argued with her for half an hour on account that she called her Ronnie, now was no time for that.
"I... Billy... That house..."
"W-what's the matter, son? And what with Billy's house?" his father asked.
Ron said panting, "I don't know what to do, I just heard a voice nearby in the Billy's house, it is of a girl, I don't know what's happening around here, she is totally upset. I can tell that, I'm sorry mum but I think there's something wrong with that house. I think you should check that and I think we should go."
Ron's mum turned to his dad and whispered, "I think our son has gone mad."
Ron's dad seem to worry about that for a minute, "I don't wish to break the news on you, Ron, but there is no girl in that house. It's just Billy, he lives alone and there is no one around his house. Why would you even hear a girl there? Well...It.could be a ghost."
Ron was devastated, how could no one believe him. Everyone was saying the same thing again and again. Leona said that he is hallucinating, that he is drunk, that he is not thinking straight and blah blah blah. And now this ghost thing.
"Please mom...trust me." Ron said, ignoring what his dad told.
His mom looked at his dad. They exchanged some curious looks with each other and then sighed.
Ron knew he was not going to get any help. He went upstairs without seeking a word from them.
He laid on his bed and picked up his phone, he said hello as soon as the other end of the phone answered.
"Oh...yeah. I just called 911."
