"Please. We must come together and fight this war. We cannot do it alone, neither can you."
Kolshi finished her speech with a fierce determination in her voice that sent chills down my bones. She's good.
Her friends were seated beside her, occasionally giving her an encouraging smile during her speech.
I looked around the room, which held Alpha Liam, his parents, Beta Tyler, the five head warriors, and some of the other important pack members. I was really keen on helping Kolshi and her people. They need us more than we need them.
Everyone seems to be in deep thought, so I waited a few seconds before I stood up and addressed the whole room. "We will have another day to sort out today's meeting. By then, we should be able to determine if we are in or not. But I really want to help them out. I know Liam supports my decision" -like always- "and will automatically talk to Malkai Densoir himself. But I want the packs' opinions, too." I looked up at the clock above the door. Two more hours left. "If anyone has any questions, come see me before the ritual begins. Thank you all for coming, everyone is dismissed. And Happy Full Moon." That got me some laughs from the audience.
Liam and I walked to the door, bidding everyone a 'thank you'.
When everyone left, except the Forest Nymphs, I walked over to them. They were all standing side by side, looking a little bit intimidating with their calm, yet unnerving stares.
"Thank you so much for giving us a chance by bringing us here," said Kolshi.
I patted her shoulders, "it's not problem at all. I'm just glad you guys aren't here to attack us."
"Never. We are allies, yes?"
"Of course. Let me show you to your rooms. In about two hours, the pack will be preparing for the ritual."
"For the Full Moon?" she asked. I nodded as we made our way to the bedrooms. "So what exactly is the ritual?"
"It's not exactly a ritual, but we call it that because we basically do the same thing every full moon. At eleven, all the pack members who can shift would meet up at the meadow field just beyond the woods. For those who can't shift, they stay home with the elders. Back to the ritual, we just basically run laps around our territory, howl, and just play around. The full moon is really our time of strength and power. But the most beautiful thing about the full moon," I looked at her as we stood outside her room. Liam had shown two of the Nymphs, Tanilia and Logas, and their room, while I showed Kolshi and Trelia to theirs. "Is the part where our furs gleams in the moon light. Our fur becomes so beautiful, so mesmerizing. Our ancestors believe that it was the Moon Goddesses gift to her children."
Kolshi was staring down, not seeing anything. "I wish I could see that," she said to herself softly.
Maybe she can. She is, after all, a Forest Nymph. "Why don't you guys join us? It would be quite an experience for you guys."
She brought both her hands up to her chest, as if she was begging. Her green eyes were shining with excitement and hope. "Really? We can watch your people at your time of strength and power?"
I grinned, "Of course. Just look for me before half past ten so my pack wouldn't be alarmed." I pointed to my left. "My room is just down that hall, the last door to the right. Liam is also in that room with me, but you can just knock." Then I touched her door knob, opening the door for her room. "And this, my friend, is your room. Like I said before, you guys can stay here as long as you want. Don't be a stranger to this house. Lounge around, socialize, and just have fun." I nodded to them as I finished. "See you soon."
I made my way towards my room.
"Thank you!" Kolshi called out to me, waving her hands.
I waved back at her.
