The next day I went out with Kate for brunch, I needed someone to rant to about yesterday. I walk into the Cora's and see Kate in the corner booth at the back of the restaurant. I walk over and slump onto my seat with a heavy sigh. Kate looks up at me with a worried expression on her face.

"y/n you ok?"

"...Nope."

"What's wrong? Did something happen yesterday?"

"You could say that."

"You want to talk about it?"

"I thought you'd never ask."

I tell Kate about everything she missed when she left me in the office with Jaehyun. From his slow motion walk towards me to the fake dating. her shock grows with every passing sentence.

"You're dating our boss!?"

"Whoa whoa first off its fake dating and yeah I guess, he didn't leave room for argument."

"This is insane, you're like the luckiest girl in the office."

"I wouldn't say lucky, I'm only doing this to get a promotion."

"That doesn't mean you can't reap the benefits of dating him."

"I don't know Kate, you like him way more than I do. Hell out of all the people in our company I'm the only one who doesn't like him that much."

"I still cant believe that but, hey your the only asexual in the company so I get why you don't see him as that attractive compared to everyone else."

"See this is why we're friends even if you don't understand me 100% you still respect my differences."

"You're welcome, now. What does he want you to do exactly?"

"Well he said he's going to train me on Sunday, so us being together will be more realistic to his mom. Who is the reason he's doing this in the first place."

"Seems like you two will be spending a lot of time together, try no to fall for him ok."

"Ha ha you're hilarious, we both know the chances of that happening are slim."

"If you say so. Now let's stop talking and start ordering, I'm starving."

We order our meals and go window shopping in the strip mall next door before going to my house to have a movie marathon. Kate tried to make my Saturday as enjoyable as possible knowing that I'm not going to enjoy Sundays for a while.

We fell asleep on the coach, but I woke up in my bed. Confused, I get out of bed and fix my shorts and tank top. Kate couldn't have put me in bed. She's not that strong, so how did I get from the coach to my bed?

As I get closer to the living room I smell waffles and bacon in the air, Kate hates cooking so she's definitely not the one making those. Even more confused than before I walk cautiously to the kitchen and peer around the corner. Instead of Kate I find Jaehyun in jeans and a blue t-shirt with the apron my mom bought me for Christmas around his waist.

What is he doing in my house? Did Kate let him in and if so where is she? As I question everything about the situation I fail to realise that Jaehyun is looking right at me watching my expressions change with every question.

"You know it's impolite to stare at people."

Jaehyun's voice brings me back to earth. we lock eyes and I quickly look away.

"Why are you in my house?"

"Sweetie, you need to look people in the eyes when you talk to them. It seems I need to teach you basic etiquette."

I roll my eyes before locking them with him. I'm not going to give him any reason to look down on me, he likes to tease but I'm not going to let him do that anymore.

"Why are you in my house Jaehyun?"

" Much better, now if you must know. Kate let me in, she was leaving when I got to your door."

"Why did I wake up in my bed?"

"Well that's obvious I moved you to your bed, sleeping on the couch is uncomfortable and bad for the body. Your skin is very soft by the way."

Taken aback by his sudden comment I was speechless. My boss carried me bridal style to my bed and tucked me in, that is definitely not professional.

"I'll take from your lack of words that you're thankful, to that I'll say your welcome. Now that that is settled let's get into the training, we need to make up an origin story that makes sense."

Unable to give a proper response I nod my head and sit down in the living room. Jaehyun hands me a plate and joins me.

We spent the morning coming up with a story about how we met. We decided to go with the whole we bumped into each other in a cafe and decided to have coffee together. When we first met I didn't recognize who he was until he told me after our third date. He never mentioned his family to me but he's met mine multiple times over the past few years we've been together. This wedding will be the first time he's letting his family know he's found someone.

Jaehyun then lets me know some facts about him and his life, he tells me things only his family knows and things no one other than those closest to him knows. We put the facts on study note cards and go over them until I remember them all by heart.

"Ok I've memorised everything I need to know what? you said this would take more than one day."

"I knew teaching you these facts wouldn't take long, it's just that I'm going to need you to go out with me on a date every Sunday. My mom is a persistent and nosy person, when I told her about you she didn't believe me. Knowing her she's going to have eyes on us to see if I was telling the truth or trying to trick her. Us going out once a week will solidify the fact that we are together in her mind."

"Ok but don't we have to try acting like a couple so it seems natural?"

" I mean sure I'm good at acting so I didn't think we'd need to but I guess you might not know what to do. And I'm sure mom is watching us now too, I felt like someone was following me when I came here."

"Ok well let's practise, I'm kind of new at this whole pretending to like someone thing so I don't know where we should start."

"Why don't we start here."

With one fluid motion Jaehyun pinned me to the coach, his face inches away from mine. I can tell my checks are getting flushed from this new position we're in.

"W-what are you doing?"

"There's a little birdie watching us right now."

Out of the corner of my eye I can see a person on the balcony with a camera.

"What do we do?"

"Just follow my lead."

He leans in and turns my face to the side blocking me from our little stalker.

"Run your fingers through my hair."

"Uh ok like this?"

I run my finger though his hair feeling how soft it is, I look at his face and see his eyes struggling to stay open. I take a peek over his head only to still see our stalker, he doesn't seem like he's going to move anytime soon.

"He's not moving."

"Seems like we need to take things to the next level."

I gulp at that statement, next thing I know he's getting off the coach carrying me bridal style and bringing me to the bedroom. He lays me on the bed, goes to the curtains and closes them.

"Problem solved."

We continue our practice until it's time for him to leave, I walk him to the door. I go in for a hug but he stops me, instead he leans down and whispers something to me.

"Don't let what happened today out at the office, we'll deal with those people later. Oh and don't worry about the little birdie he'll leave once I leave."

With that he leaves the apartment. I lock the door behind him and look out the window, Our little spy has left like he said. I walk back to my bedroom and flop onto the bed, closing my eyes as I try to erase our closeness from my mind. This is going to be a long month.
