Chapter 7

"Do you feel better now?"

Todoroki asked, showing concern towards the girl sitting in front of him.

She just smiled.

"Yeah. I'm feeling a lot better. Thank you."

Seeing her cheerful face made him felt relieved.

That was how she always looked like.

She looked much better like this.

"By the way, have you think of what to eat?"

(Name) asked, changing the subject. Todoroki got into his senses and started looking at the menu in his hands again.

There were unusual food that he had never tasted before, so he hesitated a little.

This restaurant was recommended by (name) herself. He wanted to cheer her up, so he brought her here. But it seemed like he got into trouble choosing his food.

(Name) noticed the frown on his face, but she decided to just watch him instead of helping. She couldn't help herself. Todoroki looked like an innocent child choosing his toys. He looked so cute.

In the end, she giggled.

"Why? Is something wrong?"

The doctor asked, slightly confused when he saw her giggling like that.

"Nothing."

(Name) answered in between her laughter.

"It's just that, you looked so cute, Todoroki."

Her answer caused him to feel more confused.

Which part of him was considered cute?

He never heard anyone called him that.

"Anyway, do you need help? Want me to choose for you?"

(Name) casually took the menu from Todoroki's hand. He blushed a little, feeling embarrassed.

"Yeah, please..."

After a few discussions, they finally decided on what to eat. Todoroki called for the waiter and they placed their order.

Suddenly, (name)'s phone vibrated.

She looked at the screen and read the text sent to her.

"Who?"

Todoroki asked, curious.

"Bakugou, my friend from office just now. He said that I am excused for the day."

She sighed.

"It seems like he told our boss about what happened. Huh... What a mess. And here I thought I'm going to make sure that nothing will get on the way of my work. But in the end, I failed. I'm just bringing trouble for everyone. Pathe-"

"(Name)."

Todoroki stopped her.

"Let's not talk about that. We're here to make you feel better, right? You're not bringing trouble for anyone. You got hurt, it's not like you asked for it. Am I right?"

(Name) just remained silent.

She didn't have the audacity to answer, though she knew he was right.

Knowing this, Todoroki just smiled at her.

"Then, you don't have to feel guilty. If you're excused for the day, then it's great. You need to go home and rest as much as you want. There's only one week left before the surgery. When you are healthy again, you can repay them by working to your heart's extent. But for now, you can't force yourself. Okay?"
