Chapter 12

Time passed very quickly.

A month slipped by their lives before they even realized it. Each day was spent together, except when Todoroki was on call and busy. Other than that, they had been spending their time together all the time.

(Name)'s phone vibrated on her table.

She checked the notifications and a smile perched on her lips.

It was Todoroki. He had arrived in front of her office building and was waiting for her at the parking lot.

After replying with a simple 'Ok', she packed her stuff and got ready to go down. It was getting dark, and her work was done, so she'd just go back.

"Going home already?"

Ashido, her workmate that sat beside her asked.

(Name) just flashed her a smile.

"Yeah. I'm done for the day."

"Is the handsome man picking you up again today?"

Another person, Hagakure interrupted.

(Name) just stuttered a little.

"Y-yeah..."

Then, suddenly, both of them shrieked excitedly.

"Oh my God, (name)! Are you guys dating?!"

"Have you finally gotten yourself a boyfriend?!"

"Are you in love?!!"

"SO JEALOUS~~!!!"

The final sentence was spoken in unison. (Name) couldn't help but to blush all over her face.

"N-no! It's nothing like that!"

"Eeeehhhhhhh??? Reeaaaallllyyyyy??? Then why are you blushing so much???"

Ashido started teasing.

"Now, now. There's nothing to get shy about. We're your friends, right?"

Hagakure added.

Then, seeing a tomato-like (name), both of them burst out laughing.

"Stop it, you two! We're nothing like that!"

She tried to clear the misunderstanding, but of course it didn't work.

"Oi, damn women! Can't you just shut up?! This is an office, not a place where you shout your damn annoying voices so loud!!!"

Out of the blue, a very familiar voice shouted from his seat to interrupt their conversation.

All three of them sighed.

"Look who's talking."

Ashido complained.

"Yeah. Doesn't he realize that he's the loudest?"

Hagakure added.

"What did you say?!!!! Say it again, I'll kill you two!!!"

"Now, now, that's enough, Bakugou, Mina, Tooru."

(Name) stopped them.

"Sorry to interrupt you, Bakugou. I'll be taking my leave now. Bye Mina, Tooru. See you next Monday."

After waving to both her friends, she then walked out of the office.

Bakugou, at his table was only able to watch her left.

He heard everything. Their conversation just now, also the rumors. He even saw (name) entering the man's car last week. He remembered the man to be Shouto Todoroki, the one that took her away from him during the hot water incident.
