(Todoroki x Reader) Save Me

Chapter 4

A day passed just like that. Before they both realized it, the day was almost over.

They had a final stop at a wide area. (Name) didn't actually know the place, but after what she had gone through the whole day, she knew she could believe her doctor.

After parking his car, Todoroki went out and opened (name)'s door. Then, they both passed through the parking lot side by side.

"Thank you for the walk today. I had a lot of fun."

(Name) said quietly to Todoroki beside her. She hadn't been laughing like she did for a long time now. Thanks to the doctor, she was able to forget some of her pain and had a lot of fun.

"Glad you like it."

Todoroki replied with rather a simple answer. As usual, he preferred things to be short and precise.

After walking up a mountain-like road, (name) had started to get tired. It felt like a long walk for some time.

"Where are we going now? A dinner?"

She asked in between her breath. Todoroki, walking in front of her, took a glance at the girl behind him. The sight of (name) looking so tired made him chuckle a little.

"Yes. But before that, I have something else to show you."

He said, smiling now.

(Name) couldn't help but to sigh. It had been a long day, and she had gotten tired. Plus, her stamina was not as good as before anymore.

Lately, she got tired easily. She wasn't sure if it was related to her illness or not, but that was not good.

"Is it still far...?"

She had given up, so she stopped walking.

Todoroki turned to look at her again with a kind smile.

"Come on. You can do it."

"No, no... I can't do it anymore. If I walked any further, I feel like my knees will fall off."

Todoroki chuckled when he heard her sentence. She was also wearing a funny expression on her face. It had only been 10 minutes since they hiked up the road, and she looked like dying already.

How cute.

"Come. I'll help."

Todoroki held out his hand at her, causing (name) to stare at him blankly.

"No, no... I can't..."

"Oh, come on. We're near already. Let's go."

(Name) moved her eyes to look at his hand that is still in front of her. It was a weird feeling.

She was tired, but somehow, she felt like if she held his hand, she'd feel better. (Name) didn't know whether it was her imagination or what, but she was happy when he held out his hand.

"Ugh... Alright then..."

(Name) took Todoroki's hand even while groaning.

Still smiling, the guy pulled her up. He was holding her hand in a tight grasp, as if he wouldn't let her go. However, it was not strong enough to hurt her. Though tight, he was being gentle.

The grasp caused (name) to get mixed emotion.

She was nervous, shy and happy at the same time. His touch caused her heart to flutter and her cheek blushed with a slight pink.

From behind, (name) felt like everything was moving in a slow motion.

She just watched Todoroki's back without him noticing.
