The next morning the ninja were training in the yard, Cole was fighting Lloyd, Kai was battling Zane and Nya was going against Jay while Misty was attempting to mediate. Until she heard Cole say, "Moonlit walks on the canal, sharing food?" he said and he swung his hammer at Lloyd who jumped over it. and then added, "sounds a lot like a date."

Lloyd used his sword push down on the handle of Cole's hammer and said: "It was not a date!" He looked over at Misty to gauge her expression which remained, unchanging.

Kai swung his swords at Zane who hopped out of the way and pulled out his bow and said "a date: a social or romantic engagement. often involving a meal or an intimate setting." explained as she dodged and blocked Kai's blows with his bow.

Jay laughed and said, "you can't argue with a nindroid."

"Look if you like this girl, you're gonna have to step up your game." Kai said and he placed his swords away and used spinjitzu but Zane dodged out of the way.

"what do you mean game?" Lloyd asked just as he parred Cole's sword.

"It means one's ability to charm, you need to convince her why you are the most logical mate." Zane said just as Kai finished and pulled out his swords again but before he could do anything Zane shot an arrow which knocked him over. "Ouch." Kai groaned.

Lloyd saw Misty in the corner of his eye, her brow furrowed and she bristled obviously displeased with the topic of conversation but attempting to hide the fact that she was.

"If you want to impress you've got to act tough, like flex your muscles and stuff, break things!" Cole advised and he used Spinjitzu and broke a wooden stand.

"Psh. no way you gotta make her laugh!" Jay said as he was fighting Nya and he added "Just ask Nya. She couldn't resist my sense of humor." Jay's weapon wrapped around the staff of Nya's and she pulled on her's causing the blue ninja to tumble forward and land on his back. "It's an acquired taste," Nya confessed

"Don't listen to them you gotta act cool." Kai said and he jumped back up to his feet and added: "Like you don't even care."

"But I do," Lloyd said

The other ninja weren't noticing the black crystal slowly creeping down the post that Misty was standing on.

"A-ah! so you admit it." Jay shouted

"Okay stop. All of you are really not helping him, look just be yourself it's so much easier than trying to be someone you're not." Nya said

"ENOUGH!" shouted a voice and the ninja looked as Misty jumped off the post she was standing on and landed on the ground just as the post behind her was entirely covered in the black sparkling rock, and it blew up destroying the post and several next to it. "I will not stand here and listen to this! though I whole heartily agree with Nya I do not agree with all of you forgetting that maybe this is a touchy subject for me!" she shouted and glared at her friends. Lloyd looked utterly startled and said "Your the one who broke it off not me."

Misty's eyes seemed to glow, with either rage of sadness Lloyd couldn't tell but he did hear her say, "Just because we do something doesn't mean we want to sometimes we do it because we think it's the right thing to do for someone else."

"Misty, I... " Lloyd started to say, but Misty just cut him off by saying "Come and get me when this nonsense is over...." and she stalked into the palace leaving her friends in silence until Cole noticing Lloyd was distracted swept his hammer underneath Lloyd's feet and knocked him to the ground. "Ha got you!" Cole said.

Lloyd groaned but got up and walked over to the post that was now in pieces and he picked one up it was still smoking, "this isn't good" he muttered, "Misty's element is supposed to create not destroy... yet here we are..."

"A Corrupted Element Leads to a Corrupted Heart." Zane said, "We need to keep a close eye on how much more Misty's powers change."

"I know." Lloyd said
