A/N: I still have the t-shirt ball my roommates and I made. (There were 3 in a room when I was in the adolescent unit 6 years ago)

It was constant. A staff member always checked every 15 minutes but with Brad and his replacements, there was always someone watching him. Keith got up and took his pills. He had family therapy today and he was not ready but he took the hint from Lance that he probably shouldn't be an ass to them again.
"Lift your tongue." The nurse instructed. Keith did and she looked over his shoulder. "Next!"
Keith got his breakfast and decided to sit next to Lance.
"Hey." He said.
"Hey." Lance greeted. He was eating a cup of oatmeal and watching the news.
"Why do you watch the news so much?" Keith asked.
Lance shrugged. "It's nice to know what's going on in the world when you've been stuck here for three months."
Keith nodded and ate some eggs. He said nothing else for the rest of breakfast. He put his tray away and stopped at the front desk to get a towel, his toothbrush, and a dab of toothpaste in a paper cup. He went to brush his teeth and tie his hair up into a ponytail before Lance came in.
"I'm about to take a shower." Keith said, picking up the towel.
Lance smirked. "You know you have to sing, right?"
"What in the hell are you talking about."
"You're a danger to yourself." Lance said in air quotes. "You have to shower with the curtain open or sing the whole time."
"You could count." Brad offered.
"I don't get it." Keith frowned.
Lance sighed. "You can't be out of sight when you're one on one. If you don't want to have the curtain open, you have to continually make noise. That way they know you're not doing something stupid."
"Something stupid?"
"Yeah, like strangle yourself."
"I'm in hell." Keith muttered. He left the bathroom door open and turned the shower on. He looked at Brad. "Privacy, maybe?"
"You have to count." Brad shrugged.
"Or perform." Lance laughed.
Keith stepped into the water. "You would like that."
Lance snickered. "Yeah."
Keith sighed. "One... two... three..."
Lance pulled on a sweater. "louder!"
Keith popped his head out from behind the curtain. "You know what, McClain?!" he shouted.
Lance smirked. "What's up, Kogane?"
Keith rolled his eyes. "four... five... six."
He shampooed and rinsed, rubbing soap over his chest and then letting the water run over him before turning off the water at the count of 30. He reached out for his towel and wrapped it around his waist, grabbing his clothes off of the floor and changing behind the door.
"I don't hear any counting!" Lance laughed.
Keith came out from behind the door, dressed.
"I don't remember you counting." Keith said.
