sixth date

"so what's your star sign?" ethan asks rey as they sit in his room on their sixth date. he opted for a more relaxed one this time, especially considering how he secretly preferred the second half of their last one compared to the loud party. rey looks up from her astrology book that the two are reading together, "sagittarius". ethan blinks in surprise and smiles, "damn...me too" he chuckles and rey's eyes light up. "when's your birthday?" she asks, feeling a little happy that the two of them are connected by their astrological sign.

"16th of december" ethan replies "when's yours doll?".

"25th of november" rey tells him as she looks back down to page of the book which focuses on star signs. "you're older than me" ethan comments, sounding a little surprised by this new information about rey. she seems so small and pure, like a sweet innocent creature who is so delicate and needs protecting, by him.

"um...yeah, guess I am" rey chuckles and pushes her falling frames up her nose a little more, a heat rising in her cheeks from the way ethan is looking at her with sparkling eyes and a child like smile. "to be honest..." ethan looks down back to the book and notices the constellation of his star sign "i've never paid any attention to my horoscope".

"why not?" rey asks, resting her hand on her chin as she observes the way ethan's eyes focus on the pictures of his and rey's zodiac sign. ethan shrugs casually, "dunno...I just never saw the big deal with it. I mean...what do the stars have to do with you or your life?". rey bites the inside of her cheeks at his words, feeling slightly awkward since the stars are very important to her.

"well...I just find it all interesting, the way that the stars were arranged when you were born and all the theories and meanings behind it, it just fascinates me" she explains and ethan nods understandingly. "I kinda dig the constellation though" he says, pointing to the picture of their star sign constellation "yeah, I love the constellations....how different they all are and everything" rey says softly and ethan smiles to himself at how cute she looks when talking about something shes so interested in. rey's eyes move from the book to look at him but ethan quickly averts his focus back to the pages, not wanting rey to see the way he was just looking at her.

but rey did and it makes her smile a little too, feeling her heart swell at how this charming boy was just looking at her.

"this would make a sick tattoo" ethan suddenly says as he traces his zodiac constellation, imagining the pattern forever engraved on his skin. "you want it as a tattoo?" rey asks him and ethan nods, "to go with my other one". rey's eyes widen and she lets out a breathy laugh in surprise, "you....you have a tattoo? how? we're too young...". "I did it myself" ethan answers with a proud smirk "with a stick and poke because I didn't wanna wait till I was old enough". "what is it? where is it?" rey grows more curious by ethan, how could he be so impatient to get a tattoo that he would do it himself?.

ethan says nothing else but instead sits up on his knees and peels a small section of his jeans and on his ankle are four circles all intertwined with one another. rey leans in closer to get a good at the tattoo, it looks fairly decent considering ethan did it himself, she smiles impressed. "does it have a meaning?" she asks and looks back up to ethan who nods in response, this surprises rey yet again as she wouldn't expect ethan dolan to be the type who would get meaningful tattoos, then again ethan is defying quite a few of rey's assumptions.

"its my family" ethan answers, his voice going soft with a warming tone "each circle is for them, my mum, dad, older sister and my dipshit little brother". rey smiles at the wholesome answer and feels that warm feeling in her chest that only ethan can bring spark, she adores this sweeter side to the boy and the more she sees it the more she falls for him.
