I haven't really seen that many fics with Tony being a big part. Respect to Tony. The skeleton song gave me mad inspiration so...
_______

Being alone was hard for Alfred. His brother had always been at hockey or hanging out with his friends. Alfred can only guess it is revenge for everything Al did to Matthew as a kid. It wasn't like Alfred didn't have friends, it just that... no one really gave out an honest aura that he could trust. So when seeing Matt being able to have trust in someone, it hurt.

His parents worried about Alfred but he only said that he was okay alone. The two Scandinavians didn't push the thought. Alfred however soon found a friend that was very special indeed, in fact, this friend was the only one that he could see. He was called Tony.

Tony wasn't afraid to say what he thought and even gave Alfred some advice on what to do. Suddenly people noticed the drastic change in Alfred's behavior. He was quiet, twitchy, but the strangest thing was how he would stare at another with pure hatred.

Soon the teachers got worried, Alfred began scratching harshly at the desk and the usual childish doodles on his work were replaced with scribbles that looked like words. Taking action, the school called Tino and Belward to ask a few questions on the mental state of the American.

____________

Alfred was surprised to see the entire family sitting at the dinner table staring at him. Slowly sitting down Alfred gave a confused look. Tony gave a glare and tried to get Al out of there but it was too late.

"Alfred, we got a call from school saying that you've been acting....nonAlfred. Are you okay?" Tino gave a worried look, he hoped it was some phase his baby was going through. "Yeah. Everything cool." Belward didn't look convinced and pressed harder.

"Y'u s'r'? 'nyth'ng n'w h'pp'n'd?" Alfred looked hesitant, he felt their eyes staring. "I.....I met a friend." Matthew looked surprised. He hadn't seen Alfred with anyone. Alfred continued. "He's Tony. He follows me around and keeps me from being lonely. He gives me advice." Lonely? His brother wasn't lonely. Was he?

"What kind of advice." Matt was even more confused. "He....he..tells me what others think of me. Tony says to get away or fight. He protects me." Tino looked in disbelief, oh please don't let it be worse. He reached his hand out to touch Alfred's, Alfred pulled back as if scared.

"I should go." Before the others could argue Al dashed upstairs and slammed his door shut. Tino began to shake, where was his cheerful baby? Where was the one that kept the family warm? Belward hugged his wife keeping a blank expression.

Matthew only stared at the seat his baby brother was in. Thinking back to it Alfred did seem to keep to himself during the school year.

Flashback

"Hey, Mattie! Wanna hang out? You've been blowing me off for the past month!"

"Sorry, I have somewhere else to be. It's important" Alfred hid a frown

"No problem! We'll have bro bonding when you come back though?"

"Yeah, sure."

_______

By the time Matthew came back home it was 3 am. Walking through the door to collapse in his room he failed to notice Alfred sitting on the couch asleep as if he was waiting on someone.

Al didn't ask Matt to hang out anymore.

End flashback.

Oh dear. That's why he locked his room so often. That's why he was seen talking to himself while watching the real housewives of Hollywood. He wasn't just talking to himself. He was talking to Tony.
