"The priest wishes to speak with you Brother Alfred. Head to the Main office" The acolyte spoke kindly with a sense of seriousness layering underneath. Alfred turned away from the forest he was looking at. Putting on his cross he headed to the upper floor to join the church leader.

Hold my head Under the Bath
And breathe away
Slit my wrist
And watch the blood
Evaporate

The priest looked pleased when Alfred walked in.  He was drying his arms and hands from the recent baptism. "Hello there, you are wondering why brought you in here." Alfred nodded keeping his arms to his sides as he fumbled with his dress pants. "We say yes in here, boy." The head of the church's smile quickly dropped.

Being this Godly
Can't be good for
Ana's safety
Ana hear me

"Yes." Letting a smile return again he continued. "We have a....foreign boy who needs to confess his sins before his 'punishment'. I have chosen you to head down there."  Alfred only nodded and turned to exit. "Oh and... beware...

He's trialed for murder and has wounded 2 guard already"

Heading down into the chilled, wet, and hazy cellar was practically familiar. Alfred had been tasked here many times, trying to make others last moment relaxing. Heading to the cell in the back he saw a well-built man sitting in a chair staring at the floor. A faded pink hung from is neck revealing myriad scars.

Ante up and play the God
A poker game
Walk away with all our little
God's spare change

"You are....priest?" Alfred sat across from the thick accented man. "No, I am almost finished with my training. I'm Alfred." The man lifted his head a bit to meet the calming blues. Sitting up more Alfred noticed that dried blood stained his coat yet the scarf wasn't tainted.

Playing this Godly can't be good for
Ana's safety
Ana hear me
Oh~ Ana I'll be with you
Still you are the angel that I couldn't
Kill

"I am...Ivan." He stared at the younger in uncertainty. His hands were so willing to kill others, refused to touch the blonde. "I am willing to listen to anything on your mind." Alfred gave a welcoming smile to the taller. Ivan hesitated but still spilled everything he was anxious about, frightened about, and his true wishes. It just felt right too.

He broke down, crying. Everything was out in the open. Ivan melted into the comfort Alfred gave. His touch, his warmth, his voice. Everything gave him a rush of compassion. That all went away as a guard came in and yanked Alfred away.

The room was quiet once more, the only difference was the little murmurs coming from the Russian.

Hours went by and soon the young priest in training was sentenced to death. One of the guards witnessed a sign of homosexuality with Ivan and had him on trial immediately. The fact that he was apart of the church got his sentence to worsen. The looks of disgust and anger haunted Alfred as he was thrown in a cell. The broken cross that once hung from his neck was now clutched in his hands.

Hop up on a cloud
And watch the world
Decay
Ana on my shoulders
We'll laugh away

"Alfred?" Turning around he saw Ivan in the corner looking just as surprised. "I'm also being sentenced." Alfred's hands began to shake, it was never supposed to end like this. He didn't notice the Russian move closer as he let out prayers, tears slipped through. His own words were drowned out by the screeches of a girl being burnt at the stake.

He accepted the hug that the pale man offered. The executions were beginning. The sounds of taunts and laughter were heard as the illiterate man failed to win hangman thus his neck-snapping rang across the cells. The sounds of wailing were heard as they were picked off one by one.

Faking this Godly can't be good for
Ana's safety
Ana hear me
Ana baby I'm not crazy

"Shh, it will be alright. I won't let them touch us." Ivan only whispered to the disordered blond. His heart broke as soon as he heard the prayers turn in to pleads through sobbing. He never understood why he got so attached but now he knows. Everything about the boy was an angel in his eyes, by saving him his soul will be saved from Pandemonium.

Oh~ Ana
Oh Ana
I'll be with you
Still you are the angel that I couldn't
Kill

Ivan's grip got tighter as the guards got closer and closer to their cell. It was time. Alfred was clutching Ivan at this point, the guards were prying him from Ivan harshly. Once he was separated Ivan stumbled but grabbed his back up the pipe and swung. The crack of the guard's head didn't satisfy. Alfred only watched, frozen in fear.

  Kill~
Kill~
Kill~
Kill~
Oh~ Ana I'll be with you still
You are the angel that I couldn't
Kill~

Ivan threw Alfred across his bloody shoulder like a sack and moved quickly to the back exit. Once outside Ivan ducked into the nearby forest. The sounds of yelling were heard from behind but Ivan didn't look back. If they made it past the river it would be impossible for them to be found. They could hear the sounds of horses. "Stop! you violated the law, follow us or serve your sentence here."

Ana, I'll be with you
Still, you are the angel that
I couldn't Kill~
I couldn't kill~
I couldn't kill~
I couldn't kill~

Ivan shifted Alfred so that they would meet each other's eyes. 'We were so close my angel.' Ivan trembled. Alfred gave him a small but comforting smile on his ruffed and tired face. Ivan soon realized something, 'I would never be able to repent for my sins.'. The guards started to close in, Ivan knew what he had to do.

No, I could kill~
No, I couldn't kill~
No, I couldn't kill, Ana
Oh~ Ana.....

"Please understand that what they would have done would have been worse." Alfred was confused, what did he mean by that. Suddenly Ivan's hands wrapped around his neck and snapped it hard. Tears filled the pale man's eyes as he saw the guards rushing towards him. Clutching the dead ex-priest he tilted back into the rushing river.
