PoV: Sapphire
What? I heard something.
"Sapphire," May called me, "We're going to be late."
"Coming!" I ran down the stairs in my uniform.
"You guys," Hana stopped us and put our lunches in out backpack, "Be good."
"We will!" We left to school and sat in our seats.
It was another day here, and... I felt like I could read the words in the room. I could wrote words I didn't know.
"Sapphire," Ms. Bee called me when the bell rang, "I'd like to talk with you."
"... D-Did I do something wrong?" I asked.
"How old are you?" She asked.
"Um..." I counted on my finger, "A month and a half."
"If you were two and a half months you'd be an infant," she told me, "How old are you, really?"
"May says I'm one and a half months... that's when the octopus gave me to her," I knew that was right. I came from an octopus, "I was her present..."
"Sapphire, what do you remember from before May adopted you?" She asked.
"Before May? But May was there when I woke up. I didn't know there was stuff before that. Do you know mama octopus?"
"May is all you remember?" Ms. Bee took some thing out of her desk, "Give this to your guardians."
"What's a gadee-ain?" I didn't known that word.
"What do you call May's mom?"
"Hana. She's says I can't call her mommy like May," I said.
"Well, I want to talk to Hana, because I have some questions."
"Did I do something bad?"
"No, no no sweetie," she gave me a sticker, "You're doing perfectly. You are incredibly smart for a... one month right?"
"Month and a half," I had a new ladybug sticker.
"A month and half old boy. You're doing perfectly."
"Can I go play now?" I asked.
"Yes, of course," she said.
"Yay!" I put my notebook in my cubby.
"Sapphire, what did Ms. Bee want?" May asked.
"She wanted to know how old I am," I told her.
"You're a month and a half," May booped my nose, "Boop."
"Boop," I poked hers too, "I got a ladybug sticker."
"Aww, we can stick it in your notebook," she put it in my pocket.
"Yeah, then I won't lose it."
"Let's go play."
"Yeah!"
PoV: Shadow
Metal Sonic was back
It had been two weeks and now he was back.
"Metal," Tails said, "Did you find that Sapphire person?"
Metal nodded.
"Was there any sign of Sonic?" Knuckles asked.
Metal shook his head and started beeping again.
"Hold on," Tails plugged him in and started reading off his computer, "Sapphire was a mobian and assumed to be the only one on an island of human."
"But Sonic has to be there," Knuckles said, "Metal, lead us to the island."
"Metal wait," Tails hot Metal to wait before following Knuckles's order, "How long does the trip take? One week there and back. And that's with your speed. This trip could take a month on boat. I'll set up the tornado, we'll be there next week."
"You're going to fly the tornado for a week? Tails that's too much for you," Rouge said.
"And the tornado can't carry all if us," Blaze stated.
"Metal what are the coordinates?" I asked.
"Shadow? Won't that take too much energy?" Rouge put her hand on my shoulder.
"We've got two chaos emeralds," I stated, "I can handle a bit of Chaos Control."
"We finally get to see Sonic again," Amy started crying as she hugged Silver who was fighting tears.
"Metal," I looked the computer, the coordinates were there. For me, "I'll take Metal first so he can confirm the location."
"Let us know Shadow," Blaze handed me something, "Keep contact."
"I will," I placed my hand on Metals shoulder after we unplugged him, "Chaos Control."
I opened my eyes, we were on a beach. I could feel him, Sonic's chaos energy. It was strong. We found him, he was somewhere near by.
"Metal, is this the right place?" I asked him.
He nodded.
"Then I'll go get the others," I felt.
"So?" They were waiting for my answer and handed me the chaos emeralds.
"We found him."
