"She has fought many wars, most internal. The ones that you battle alone, for this, she is remarkable. She is a survivor." ― Nikki Rowe
Oh how good it describes your past..

You were sitting high up on a tree-branch, a SA-50 strapped on your back & a bow in your hand. Glasses, a beanie & face mask were protecting you from twigs & insects. Your black turtleneck pullover, camouflage pants & black military boots let you blend in with your surroundings, making you almost invisible, as you watched the area around you like a hawk with your (e/c) orbs.

Here and there you would see some wildlife running around or some hunters from the resistance as well as some cultists. You had to suppress the urge to take down cultists, you didn't want to be involved in any of the shit that was going on in Montana. But it still pissed you off that they were using innocent animals for their needs, by drugging them with those god damn bliss flowers.

Just as you wanted to leave your viewing spot, you saw something small emerge from the thick forest. A small fawn stepped out, its fur glistening in the sunlight. Its eyes were darting around, the fear of the unknown could be seen in them. You couldn't spot the mother anywhere, it was completely alone. The animal reminded you of yourself, when you were left to die in the woods of Whitetail Mountains. You were only five, you didn't know what was going on. That day still haunts you in your dreams and the only question you ask yourself is, why did your own parents want to kill you. What could've led to such a cruel decision, to leave their own child behind in a forest full of wolves & grizzly bears. The image of yourself as a five-year-old flashed before your eyes, as your mind began drowning in painful memories of your past.

-Flashback to the day your parents left you in the forest-

"Sweetie, wake up. We are there." your mothers gentle voice brought you back to reality. Your small hands tried to rub the sleep from your eyes, as you yawned. The words of your mother finally sank in & you eagerly jumped out of the car. A gust of wind hit your face, as you took a deep breath, filling your nostrils with the earthy smell of the forest around you. The sun was setting slowly, painting the sky orange & yellow. Your eyes shined with excitement, you loved when your parents took you here. It was so high up in the mountains, that you had a perfect view over whole Montana. You would picnic with your parents here, practice shooting with your bow or just count how many lakes you can see. Normally you would drive away on weekends early in the morning, because it takes quite a while to drive up the mountains. You were confused why your parents wanted to go to the woods in the middle of the week, especially so late in the afternoon, but you didn't question it farther. You were happy to have the opportunity to spend some time with mommy and daddy again.

"What are we going to do mommy? Are we going on a hike? Oh, can we play something, pleeeease? We haven't played for such a long-time mommy." you looked at your parents with puppy like eyes, hoping that they would say yes.

"Of course, sweetheart, let us play something. How about hide & seek? It's one of your favorite games after all." Your hair bounced with you as you jumped around with excitement & a big toothy smile. "Ui, can I hide mommy? I found such a great spot when we came here the last time." Big (e/c) looked pleadingly at your mother, who only had a small smile plastered on her face, your father was standing right behind her with the same unreadable expression. "Go ahead honey, we are going to count to ten & be careful."

As soon as your mother closed her eyes, you darted right into the woods. You knew this forest all too well, so it was easy for you to dodge roots & rooks on your way. You stopped abruptly & started climbing up a tree. In no time you reached a wooden platform, but you didn't stop there, you went even higher. Hidden behind a thick layer of laves & branches was another smaller platform, from which you could see everything underneath you. You sat down, breathing heavily in & out. Only now you realized that the sky was changing from violet to blue & the first stars came into view. The air got chillier around you & you could see mist forming around the forest, making you shudder a little bit.
