Since (Y/N) left to help out in Faiths region, I've been in a state of Hypervigilance. I would check my phone every few minutes or keep it beside me at night, just waiting for "the call", that would either result in her coming back or, what I really hoped wouldn't be the case, that she got hurt. My nightmares got worse, with the constant fear boiling inside of me, which means that I haven't slept for the past fucking three weeks; which was noticeable by my angry looks.

I wouldn't admit it, not any time soon, but I grew close to her, she deals with my grumpy mood & foul language like it's nothing, she doesn't get sad or mad at me. With her & the animals around me, I feel way calmer than before, so that's why I would've preferred going with her. If I didn't have my own duties to take care & didn't have to look after her place, I would've packed my things up & left with her.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by something wet & cold brushing against my hand. As I looked down I was met by big brown golf balls sized eyes (they are probably not that big, but just imagine it being super cute) staring back at me. It was Teddy, she's been acting strange, just like the rest of the animals. Usually she would rarely come around here, due to this place being too crowded, as (Y/N) explained to me, I didn't question it further. "What ya want ya big ass fur ball?" I asked the mammal, who only grumbled in response & laid herself on my lab. Normally she would annoy the living hell outta me, but today she wasn't leaving my side & was rather affectionate, I wouldn't complain cuz that's better than being shoved around by her until I fall.

"I miss her too Teddy." I whispered as I gently stroke her soft fur. Only now, after a year of knowing her, I notice how much she rubbed off on me. I didn't ever notice how much I actually visit her, it's like we lived the past year together, it was so natural. It is such a strange feeling inside of me, to not have her around me. A soft breeze of cold air hit my face & I inhaled deeply. Gazing around I saw that (Y/N)'s pack was walking towards me, all their heads low & ears pressed to their heads. Teddy didn't spare a look, she quietly laid still, while the wolves settled themselves around me.

I was worried. After talking to her some time ago, where she suddenly ended the call, the animals where walking around nervously or laying sadly on the ground. The atmosphere around the camp was heavy & it felt like something is bound to happen soon. And my thoughts were once again interrupted as my phone began to buzz, indicating an incoming call. The screen showed a familiar ID, but not the one I hoped to see.

"What's up Joseph?" "It's the Deputy. He's currently attacking Faith, I already send Nika over, but I have the feeling that we need some more back up. John is also on his way." "Where is she?" I interrupted him "At Faiths bunker." "I'll be on my way." I didn't wait for a response & just hung up. My blood ran cold & it felt like a million thoughts were running through my mind. I shook my head & went to gather everything I need.

"Move outta the fucking way ya fucking dumbass. Drivin' slow as fuck" I screamed at the car in front of me, knowing too well that they won't hear me. It was probably me who is driving beyond the speed limits like a maniac, but I didn't give a shit about it right now. "Almost there." I murmured to myself to keep the rising anxiety from my mind.
