A minute later, we're instantaneously transported through time. But- where?

I stare at our surroundings for a minute. "Did we make it?" I ask. "Are we back?"

But before Doc can answer, a huge, jumbo jet just barely misses us. I let out a large scream. What the hell?

Doc's fist clenches down onto the steering wheel. "We're back." He whispers, wide-eyed.

A minute later, we arrive at Jennifer's street, and he parks in her driveway. Quickly and quietly, we get out of the car and both Doc and I pick up Jennifer. I follow Doc as he goes up to her porch and places Jennifer down.

"Let's put her in the swing!" Doc exclaims. "Then I'll take you home and you can come back in your truck and wake her. When she awakens here in her own house and it's dark, you should be able to convince her it was all a dream."

I have a bad feeling about this. "Wait a minute, we're just going to leave her there on the porch?"

"The disorientation will help convince her that it was all a dream," Doc says, but my concern doesn't erase.

"Well, how long do you think she's gonna be out?"

"I'm not sure," Doc admits. "She received quite a shock. Could be for a few minutes, most probably a couple of hours. You'd better bring some smelling salts with you."

I shrug, still a bit hesitant on Doc's plan. I decide to trust his judgment though, as Doc is typically much better at making those kinds of choices more than me. "Well, you're the Doc, Doc." I say, and he nods his head.

"Right," he agrees. "Let's go, Einie."

We both start to leave, but as I turn around and look at Jennifer one last time, I notice bars on the windows. When had those ever been there?

"I don't remember bars being on these windows," I mumble as I leave. Maybe I just haven't seen them before...
