Slowly, I begin to walk out the alleyway and into this new, futuristic Hill Valley. I take a good look at my surroundings and breathe it all in, absolutely fascinated. So this was what the future Hill Valley looked like.
I get a very nostalgic feeling as I walk forward out onto the street and have a car nearly run into me, much like how it happened in 1955 when I first arrived. I look at the car in utter shock, as it had looked completely different compared to a car from my year, 1985. Looking around some more, I see the courthouse and the clock in the clock tower. The clock is still the same, with the time reading 10:04, but the courthouse- the courthouse had turned into a mall. The courthouse also has a decent pond as well as some plants surrounding it, which is a large change from the town square that exists in 1985. I then turn around and face the Texaco, only to see that it has changed too. It was now two levels- one for hover converted cars and the other for ground cars.
Heavy. I thought. How could everything change so much just in 30 years?
Even the movie theater across the street was much different than when I had gone with Jennifer. Instead of a normal theater, it's called a 'holomax' now, and it looks like 'Jaws 19' is playing.
I slightly turn to the right, and something large (possibly a shark) comes heading straight for me, out of... The sign? Either way, it's unexpected, and I let out a large scream, holding my arms over my face and embracing for the impact of whatever this thing is. Finally, I peek my eyes open, and it looks like the shark is there no more. I sigh of relief but continue to face up towards the movies.
"Shark still looks fake," I mutter, trying to get over what just happened.
Behind me, I hear a familiar voice talking and I turn around. Facing behind me, was yet another holo-billboard of... The mayor, Goldie Wilson?... Talking. At least, it sure looked like Goldie.
"Hi friends," he began to say, "Goldie Wilson III here for Wilson's hover-conversion systems. You know, when my grandpa was mayor of Hill Valley, he had to worry about traffic problems. But now, you don't have to worry about traffic!" He enthusiastically exclaims. "I'll hover-convert your old road car into a skyway flyer, for only $39,999.95. So come on down and see me, Goldie Wilson III, at any one of our twenty-nine convenient locations. Remember, keep 'em flying!"
I turn around, still in surprise. I then turn face to face with a store called "Blast From the Past", which looks like a nostalgic shop with regular items I've seen before, such as a JAWS Nintendo game, a Rodger Rabbit doll, a lava lamp, a Dustbuster, a Walkman, Animal House and Dragnet videos, and a shirt and jacket that looks eerily similar to my own clothes from 1985. But the thing that catches my eye the most is a book, named "Grey's Sports Almanac."
Oh yeah, I think to myself. I definitely have to come back for this book.
