I run down the street as far as I can, wanting to go anywhere but here. I don't have a clue in mind as to where, but except that vile excuse of my "neighborhood" is good enough for me.
As I run down the street further, I begin to formulate theories in my head as to how this is happening. I want to believe none of it is real, but pinching myself to wake up doesn't work, and I have to face the fact that this is somehow real. But... how?!
I run down a little bit further, and eventually, I run-up to the Courthouse Square. I go to the entrance and find a sign below me. It looks like the sign when I had first seen Hill Valley. It says "Welcome to the City of Hill Valley, a Nice Place to Live", except it's covered in bullet holes and also has been changed so it says "Hell Valley".
Yeah, no kidding, I think as I cautiously enter. As soon as I enter I bump into Red, the homeless guy I had seen back in the other 1985. He's still homeless, but he looks... worse, if that's even possible. He appears to be heavily intoxicated, holding what I believe is a flask and some kind of tool in his other hand. As soon as he bumps into me, he spins around drunkenly. "Watch where you're going, crazy drunk pedestrian." He mumbles as I get a look at him. "Red!" I exclaim in surprise, noticing my voice has become raspy, probably from all of the yelling I've been doing.
Red looks at me kind of strangely before shaking his head and walking off. That was real weird, I decide as I walk forward and take a look at my surroundings. It's the Courthouse Square... if you can even call it that. It looks like an absolute mess and is also completely different. I look to my sides and see endless strip bars, adult bookstores and other sorts of things similar. But it's very hard to see these things- due to all of the bikers around me. It looks like there's some sort of bikers convention going on.
I take another glance as I look up to the Courthouse. Talk about the biggest change of all- the clock and the actual courthouse wasn't even here anymore! It's kind of depressing, considering it's a landmark. Especially to me and Doc, considering all of our trips we've made that involved it.
But the largest, worst scare of this new Hill Valley is the name of this new 'Courthouse'.
It's called...
Biff Tannen's Pleasure Paradise.
At the top of the building, his name appears in huge neon letters as an image of Biff flashes in the nighttime sky. The big chimneys surrounding pollute the air, and I feel like I can't breathe for a minute. And for that minute, I almost wish I can't breathe. That way, when I pass out and wake back up, I'll realize that this is all just a dream. Just a very intense dream. Get a grip on yourself, McFly.
I cross the square and walk over to the Pleasure Paradise, hoping this really is fake and that it's just my imagination playing tricks on my mind. That has to be it, I think, trying to convince myself. This can't be happening. I refuse to accept it.
I inch towards the strange, foreign building and see a TV screen playing... next to a Biff Tannen Museum. Slowly, I go up towards it, not knowing what to expect. I am still in the mindset that this is unreal, and I refuse to believe anything else. But while I am here, I have no choice but to watch. I have to figure out what's going on.
"Ladies and gentlemen," the narrator starts to say. "Welcome to the Biff Tannen museum, dedicated to Hill Valley's number one citizen, and America's greatest living folk hero, the one and only- Biff Tannen. Of course, we've all heard the legend, but who is the man? Inside you will learn how Biff Tannen became one of the richest and most powerful men in America." The TV screen shows Biff driving away from his mansion in a sports car, and I stare at it horrified. What did Biff do now?
"Learn the amazing history of the Tannen family, starting with his great grandfather, Buford 'Mad Dog' Tannen, the fastest gun in the West." The narrator continues, showing a picture of Buford. "See Biff's humble beginnings, and how a trip to the races on his 21st birthday made him a millionaire overnight. Share the excitement of a fabulous winning streak..." the TV pauses to show more newspaper articles of Biff. "...that earned him the name, 'Luckiest Man on Earth'. Learn how Biff parlayed that lucky winning streak into the vast empire named 'Biffco'. Discover how in 1979 Biff successfully lobbied to legalize gambling and turned Hill Valley's dilapidated Courthouse into a beautiful casino-hotel."
The video pauses once more as it shows a picture of a telegraph and Biff talking on camera. "I just want to say one thing," he smugly says, flashing a large grin.
"God Bless America."
The narrator goes on. "Meet the women who shared in his passion as he searched for true love..." he says as pictures of women flash the screen. Funny, I think. One of them almost looks like my mom, almost a little too much.
"...and relieve Biff's happiest moment, as in 1973 he realized his lifelong dream by marrying his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Baines McFly."
I freeze. Yeah, I think that's my mom.
"How do you feel, Mr. Tannen?" A reporter asks. Biff yanks my mom into his arms and pulls her back to kiss her, in front of the entire world.
"Third time's a charm," is all he says before he forcefully begins slobbering all over her, and I step back. I don't believe it.
"NOOOOO!"
I step backward, horrified. I have to find Doc and talk to him about this, is my only thought. We have to get out of this hell.
But as I step backward, I fall into somebody's arms. "No!" I yell again in a state of deep despair and worry. This was not happening!
"Hey wait, you're coming with us upstairs!" Someone who reminds me of Biff's goons yells. I struggle around frantically in his arms, trying to get away from him. "Let me go!" I yell, but it's no use- I am trapped.
Another person chimes in. This time I can't tell who. "Son, we can do this the easy way or the hard way." The voice says.
But I have no time or chance to respond this time, as I feel a giant crash onto my head, and my vision starts to blur out... whoa, what s happening?
My vision begins to blur out into a state of nothingness, for the last time... forever. I can now no longer respond, as the voices fade and my subconscious slips before me, uncontrollable at my grasp.
"The easy way..." is all I hear, before I slip unconsciously forever.
