Two Months Later.

There was a fast knocking outside Link's door. Slowly, he lifted his head and glared at the door. He looked at the clock on the wall and saw it was 5:30 in the morning. He groaned and stuffed his face back into his pillow. He hated getting up early. Who would be stupid enough to knock on someones door this early in the morning? He pulled the covers over his head and waited for the knocking to stop.

It didn't.

It kept knocking and knocking. Link yelled into his pillow and kicked off his soft covers. He reluctantly rolled out of bed and partly limped towards the door. His leg was still healing, but it was much better than it was.

He got to the door and sighed. The rapid knocking was still going on. He ran his hands through his hair to make it look as less of a mess as it really was. He limply reaches for the handle and half-heartedly pulled the door open.

The knocking stopped as Zelda stood, bright-eyed and fully dressed at the door.

Link squinted at her. "Zelda, what are you doing up so—" he mumbled.

"Get dressed," she ordered, looking at his bare chest. "There's something I want to show you."

Link sighed and slowly turned to the clock behind him. "Zel— Zelda, it's 5:30 in the morning. Why are you up so early?"

"It's not that early," she argued. "I've been up for an hour already."

"What?" Link asked. "Why?"

"I already said, there's something I want to show you. Are you even listening to me?"

"It can wait, Zelda," He began to close the door. "Show me later."

Zelda pushed the door open. "Link, please. It's really important," she pleaded. "It's gotta be right now."

Link sighed. "Right now?"

Zelda nodded. "Right now."

Link yawned and nodded back. "Ok...ok. I'll be out in a bit," he mumbled as he closed the door.

He shuffled toward the sink to the left and splashed his face with cold water. The extremely cold temperature made Link finally open his eyes all the way. He studied his hair in the mirror and quickly tied it into his usual pony tail.

He walked towards his dresser and pulled out one of his champion's tunics and a regular pair of trousers. He fumbled the tunic on over his head and slipped into the pants. He looked at himself again in the mirror. It was definitely obvious he had been sleeping only minutes before. He quickly slapped his cheeks a few times to try to wake himself up even more. After a few he decided that it was as good as he was going to get.

He walked towards the door. He reached for the handle when he suddenly remembered something. He looked back on the dresser and saw the tiny box on top of it. He didn't know why he brought it everywhere, but he did it anyway, looking for the right time. He snatched it up, put it in his pocket, and went to the door.

He opened the door and walked out into the castle hallway. Zelda was waiting for him outside.

"Ok," he yawned. "What is it?"

"This way," she jumped with joy as she ran ahead.

"Hey," he half yelled. "Don't go so fast. I still got a bum leg and I'm half asleep thanks to you."

He quickened his pace as he tried to keep up with the princess. The castle was completely empty, aside from some guards that stood at every other corner. Their feet ran across the soft red carpet as they passed room after room. Link noticed one with its door open.
