Minseo's POV
"Oh thank gosh you're here, Noona." Seungkwan said as soon as Mark and I walked into the house, and my eyes instantly went to my children.
"What happened?" I took off my shoes and saw Jaehea asleep on Jun's lap, and Kazen looked like he was falling asleep while playing with Samuel and Chan.
"Oh they were fine, it's just Shua hyung said Appa would be back in less than an hour and now it's been what?" Seungkwan looked over at Wonwoo who then looked at the clock.
"Four hours and twenty minutes." I looked at my husband and he shrugged. I knew it was getting very late, and we still had the two hour drive home.
"Did he say where he was going?" Mark asked, and Seungkwan looked over at Joshua who was in the kitchen bent over a binder. I had completely forgotten about their finals when I dropped the kids off with them.
"I don't remember. I assumed it was the store." Appa going to the store was certainly the most probable, but taking over four hours to do so was something he never did. The only time he'd ever disappeared like this was eleven years ago when Mom was rushed to the hospital.
"Has anyone gone to go look for him?" They all shook their heads and I sighed in relief. The last thing we needed was someone going out at nine thirty at night.
"Minseo, why don't you stay here and I'll go take one of the boys to go and take a quick look."
"Can I go?" Minghao asked from the hallway, and I hesitated. I don't know why in the world they're looking at me for making decisions.
"You two have ten minutes and then you're coming back here." Minghao ran towards the door and shoved on his shoes before walking out with my husband.
"Did you guys eat? Do you need me to make something?"
"No, Mingyu hyung made us food." Samuel piped up from the floor, and I was reminded of how they aren't as little anymore.
"Okay, in that case I'll run to the car and grab the extra set of clothes I have for the kids." I know Jun has probably been sitting there for a very long time with Jaehea on his lap, and I knew it wasn't the most comfortable position.
I came back in with the small backpack, and with the help of Jun I got the two of them changed. It wasn't the most pressing concern, but I needed something to keep myself busy.
"I'll go put her in my bed, Noona. Kazen could probably fit in with her." Jun offered, and he brought my four year old into his room before I could say anything else. It seemed as though the boys wanted the littles to go to sleep while they stayed up and waited for Appa. Almost like they didn't want to scare them with their thoughts.
"Come on, Kazen. Let's get you to bed." Normally the one year old complains and tried to make it as difficult as possible for me to put him to bed, but tonight he just lifted his arms and let me carry him out with his sister. It looks as though my brothers wore the two of them out.
Once the two of them were tucked in, Jun and I returned to the living room. I noticed everyone else had come out of their rooms, and they were all sitting and waiting.
"Mark hyung's on his way back. Get in the car, Noona. Only one other person can go since you only have one extra seat and Hao's in the ambulance." I looked over at Jun completely confused.
"What do you mean? What ambulance Jun?" He started waving his hands around frantically.
"Don't question what I know. Just get in the car and wait for Mark hyung. Some one else needs to go with her!" It looked like the boys knew something I didn't as I struggled to put my shoes on.
"We need Sam here and the oldest three. Jun hyung needs to stay for communication right now, so we need some one other than those four." Wonwoo said, and it looked like he was going through other possibilities.
"Hoshi, you're the oldest who can go." Hansol pointed out, and it was so strange to watch them work so frantically and strategically.
"No, you guys know I can't take hospitals. I think Mingyu is the best bet." The thirteen year old jumped up from the floor and quickly shoved on his shoes.
"Some one explain what's going on!" I yelled, extremely confused and now getting scared.
"Noona, you're the oldest of us all. Just get in the car and wait for Mark hyung. He's going to drive and explain it all. We'll take care of the kids here." Jun ordered more gently this time, and Mingyu took my arm and practically dragged me out of the house.
I got into the passenger seat just as Mark came running down the street and jumped into the car. Mingyu was already in the middle of the back row between the car seats and he leaned forward between us as Mark pulled out of the driveway and sped down the street.
"Mark, what's going on?" My voice sounded less stable than I wanted it to, but it portrayed how I felt.
"We found him in an alley by the store, I'm not sure exactly what happened but I called the police and they said they'll investigate. Minghao could ride in the ambulance since he's a blood relative, and he told me Jun would have you in the car."
"But how would Jun know this?" Fifty million different questions were running through my mind, and that's the one that decided to come out.
"Twin telepathy. We all have it. Sam's just the only one who can communicate with everyone. That's why we needed him home." Mingyu explained from the back, and I almost didn't believe him. But that would explain a lot of things that have happened in my childhood.
"But what happened to Appa?" Mark paused and took a deep breath.
"I think he was mugged."
