[ Komine ] Kody x Lumine

Lumine's POV

I groaned as I awoke to sunshine hitting my eyelids, which was quite the unusual way to wake up. I was usually forced awake by my master, unless he accidentally slept in.

I debated on whether or not to open my eyes to avoid punishment or to enjoy the peace I have right now, even if it's only for a little bit.

I decided to just open my eyes. My body was pretty much aching, so I'd rather not take in any more. I saw a textured, white ceiling and a nice looking fan, which was unmoving.

I must have been hit in the head sometime yesterday, but I don't remember Master going too hard yesterday.

My eyes explored the new environment. A large, open closet filling with clothing. A white dresser with some pictures of Kody and I with beautiful, antique looking black frames of varied sizes.

My fingertips found themselves tracing a picture I remembered pretty clearly.

I wrapped my arm around Kody's neck and held up the phone. He looked up from his book and I giggled innocently, smiling into the camera.

Before he could push me away or protest, I snapped the picture and ran off, excitedly showing the picture to Aiden, who printed it out for me as I had asked..

I smiles to myself, remembering the old times when I was free and innocent.

" Lumine? You are awake already? " A familiar voice asked, softness lacing his voice, unlike my Master's harsh tone.

I looked over and almost fell off the bed at the sight. Kody stood before me, a small stack of clothes in hand and some bandages in the other.

He was able to push me back into a stable position before I faceplanted into the soft looking carpet.

" How- This has got to be a dream right? " I said, thinking aloud as I pinched my skin inbetween my long fingernails.

" No, this is reality. Don't think about it too much. " He said as he set the items on my bed, planting himself next to them.

" Can you sit up on your own? " He asked. I sat up, ignoring the pain that shot through my body.

" Good. " He said, nodding his head towards me while removing an article of clothing from the stack.

" Now take off the jacket. " He said. I jolted slightly at his words, causing yet another wave of pain to course through my body.

" I said take off the jacket. Now. " He said. I whimpered and my ears went down.

" But- " I wasn't even able to start protesting before Kody cut me off with a sigh.

" Look. Just remove it or I will. I have no intention of doing anything to you, Lumine. Just trust me. " He said. I hesitated, which he took as a no.

He unzipped the jacket and threw it into a hamper I didn't even realize was there before.

" Ngh.. " I groaned and looked off to the side, embarrassed my old best friend had to even see me like this.

He slid the blanket all the way off my body, leaving me fully exposed. He immediately started to wrap my soft, pale skin, as quick and thoroughly as he could.

Kody finally removed my leg from his shoulder, pulling a thick white hoodie over my head. I manoeuvred my arms through the sleeves carefully, nodding at Kody once I was done.

He tugged a pair of black sweatpants on me, which called for another uncomfortable position. ( yes, innocent ol' Lumine is going commando, bitches! )

He pushed me down gently and patted my head, getting up from my bed.

" Sleep, if you can. If you can't just call me. " He said and left the room. I rolled over onto my side, attempting to get some more rest.

Unfortunately, My thoughts raced wildly and I couldn't help but to look around me every few minutes, checking to see if I was back at the old, unfurnished cabin.

" Kody.. " I groaned as I buried my face into a pillow and allowed my arm to dangle off the bed.

" Here. " He said and entered the room. I sat up and walked over to him, immediately noticing the huge height difference.

" Heyyyy.. Why did you grow without me? " I asked. Before Kody could even respond, a mushroom was thrown past Kody's head, hitting my leg.

" Grow, Lumine, grow! " Silver yelled from behind Kody.

" What the hell.. " Kody said, staring at the mushroom at my feet.

[ Author's Note ] I don't even fucking know what the ending of this chapter is.. But my friend once threw a mushroom at my feet and yelled this exact thing when I was hanging out with my girlfriend along with my beloved third wheel of a friend and I just..
