"who were texting just now?"

"oh, um... it was just yuta."

"ah, my look-alike?"

i tried to laugh at his joke, but my disappointment was getting the best of me.

"why the long face?"

"it's nothing..."

"yeah i call bullshit."

"it's just," i sunk into my seat. "he never spends time with me anymore. and he's always hiding in his room all the time. it's just getting really annoying? i don't know if that sounds mean or anything–"

"it doesn't."

"like, we never do anything that couples do anymore. i mean like, johnny and yerim are always doing cute stuff together. and i have to see it on social media all the time while i'm wondering why yuta won't do that stuff with me!"
i stopped myself before i went on for much longer.
"sorry, i'm rambling too much."

"no, no it's okay."

"like just now...i wanted to take him to the movies. but as usual, he turns me down with some random excuse."

"i'll go with you."

his response caught me off guard for a moment.
"what?"

"if he won't go, then i will."

"takuya, you don't have to do that."

"you're not gonna see the movie just because he won't?"

"i don't kn-"

"when we get off the train back home, i'm taking you. no excuses."

"you're so nice to me, yet you barely know me."

the train came to a sudden stop , so he immediately stood up.

"well, i'd like to get to know you better."

i smile at his statement, not being able to control the redness in my cheeks and ears.
"i'd like to know you too."
