18: An Old Friend

Finally a chapter where we get to meet an old friend of Ayame's.

Ayame's POV

I got out the limo saying bye to Hana and ran into the school building. "Hey guys!" I spotted my friends in the locker rooms. "Hey dudette! Did you here about the new student?" asked Nino as we high five. "New student? Nope!" I said. "Yeah turns out that he's coming from New York just like you!" said Marinette.

I put what I didn't need in my locker then closed it. "Really? Wow, I can't wait to see who it is," I said. Alya threw her arm around me and we both walked into class with the others while joking around. We came in to see Adrien being bothered by Chloe. I glared. "The witch is trying to take your man!" Alya whispered in my ear. Adrien saw me and got up. "Pookie!" He ran up to me and hugged me. "Hey Bubba," I said. I pecked his lips just to make Chloe mad and it worked. She stomped over to her seat mad.

"Thank you, she was getting too much for me to handle," he said. I nodded. The teacher came in and we all sat down. "As you know today we were supposed to be getting a new student but not until later tomorrow, let's begin."

Time Skip

Marinette and I were in our art club activity class. I was talking to Nathaniel as Marinette was talking to Marc. "Hello? Um, is this the art room? The principal told me to come here and to bring these boxes of paints," said someone. I glanced to see it was a boy but I could barely see his face and the teacher went up to him. I went back to talking to Nathaniel until my name was called. "Ayame, can you please show this young man where to put these paints?" asked the teacher. I excused myself from Nathaniel.

"Sure!" I got up and walked over. "Wait. Ayame? As in Ayame Brooks?" the boy said. I took a good look at him as he put the boxes down then gasped. "Rocky?!" I was shocked. He smiled then nodded. I gave him a hug. "Rocky!!! I missed you!" I said. (Picture above is Rocky)

He pat my back then let me go. He then pouted. "I don't believe you! No calls, no texts, no nothing!" he said. I scratched my neck nervously. "Sorry, I got a new phone," I said. He ruffled my hair. "It's okay kiddo." I giggled. "Now let's put up these paints so I can introduce you to everyone!" I said. He picked up the box and we put the paints up.

I then introduced him to everyone and was now on Marc and Marinette. "Last but not least, these two are Marc and Marinette! You guys, this is Rocky, he's the new student from New York and my friend," I said. "Hello," said Rocky. They both waved at him but then Marinette started talking to him more.

Soon enough, it was time to leave. Rocky and I said bye to everyone and we went to my house. We went up to my room only for him to get tackled my Sage with licks. He laughed. "Hey Sage! I missed you too!" he said. I sat on my bed. He put his stuff down then joined me. "Let's hang out here and you could sleep here too!" I said excited. "Maybe let me ask my mom," he said. He called his mom and talked to her while I wait anxiously.

"Okay mom thanks love you bye." He hung up then turned to me. "She said yes!" I cheered. "Yay!" I failed to recognize the blush on his cheeks. (Uh oh)

"Now let's get started!"

I had Rocky do a lot of things with me around the house and they all made us laugh. It was almost night time and we were back in my room on my balcony. "Let's see you catch this one!" I threw the pop corn kernel and he caught it. We both clapped. "Good job," I said. I then put the bowl down and went to lean on my railing. Rocky came next to me.

"Im glad I'm here with you Ayame. New York wasn't the same without you. And after a lot of convincing, mom finally decide to move here," he said. He laid his head on my shoulder. "I'm glad you're here too..."

NEXT DAY

Rocky and I both raced up the stairs into the school to the locker rooms. We busted down the doors. "I win!" we both said at once. We both looked at each other then laughed. "Wow turbo! Who's this?" asked Alya. I looked to see all my friends again except Adrien. I introduced Rocky to them and we all talked for a bit then went to class. "Your time to shine," I said to Rocky. I went to my seat and waved to Adrien when I walked pass while Rocky stayed up front. The teacher calmed the class.

"Okay everyone our new student is here today all the way from New York," said Miss Bustier. "Hello everyone, my name is Rocky and I hope we'll have a fantastic time together!" he said. Everyone clapped while he bowed. "You may take your seat next to Ayame, she'll help you with anything you need," said Miss Bustier. I waved Rocky over and he sat down while I winked at him.

Class started.

After school...

Adrien and I was at my house. Rocky had went home. I was in the bathroom while Adrien was playing on my phone and petting Sage. He has permission to.

Ding!

Adrien sat up as he read the text over and over again. I came out the bathroom drying my hair.  I walked over to the sad Adrien to see him frowning at something on my phone. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned on him. "What ya reading?" I asked. He showed me the phone. "This. What is this?" I read it. "Adrien. That's just Rocky. He's only a friend, nothing else so don't be all jealous boo," I said.

He sighed. "Okay," he said. "Great, now lets go make something to eat, I'm starving!" I said. Adrien got up and followed me downstairs.

Rocky's real name is Adachi Sora so his name is actually Sora but Ayame and others calls him Rocky.
