Into The Abyss: Dyrroth X Selena MLBB story

III-The Pact

Selena stood in front of the throne looking at the three demons before her with a smirk on her face. She crossed her arms inspecting Dyrroth's throne.

Alice and Thamuz looked at each other unsure what business Selena brought with her.

Dyrroth, on the other hand, stared at Selena trying to meet her scarlet eyes.
How can a little girl like you look so innocent and dangerous at the same time?

"Not bad..."

Dyrroth blinked once and returned back to reality.

"...you have a taste for stylish thrones, "said Selena.

"Selena, what a surprise you've come to visit us here, "said Alice.

"Don't worry. Next time you'll be the one to go there just to see me, " replied Selena.

Dyrroth cleared his throat, "Enough, tell us the message the Lord of the Abyss wanted for us to know. That is why you're here after all, right?"

Selena smiled. She was impressed that Dyrroth actually played his role well as the prince. From the way he looked and his posture. Not to mention Alice and Thamuz who looked like statues in her eyes as they stood beside Dyrroth's throne.

"The Lord of the Abyss wanted to tell you how much disappointed he is about the way Dyrroth controls the abyss. He even wanted to ask if your so-called prince knows the true way of the abyss. If not, then how does he dare boast of such useless name? He thinks you're not worthy enough of your place, " said Selena staring straight my to Dyrroth's eyes.

The Abyssal Demon laughed as it floated beside Selena. This made Dyrroth angry but he kept it to himself trying to control it through hardening his fist. Alice saw Dyrroth's reaction yet she didn't do anything, she waited what would he do next.

"That's not all. The Lord of the Abyss also has something to ask to you Alice. He wanted to know if this conflict was not your kind of plot, " said Selena as her Abyssal Demon bypassed Alice encircling the three.

"It is not. I do not know where and why it started, " replied Alice trying to contain her uneasiness with the Abyssal Demon.

"I'm just trying to clear things up. The Abyss must be doing things on its own to delay your plans. "

"What is it that the Lord of the Abyss wants me to do? I do not understand what he wants!"shouted Dyrroth.

"Maybe that is the reason why he cannot accept you embodying him. Decide what to do to impress him. Now excuse me, I still need devouring, " Selena said turning back towards where she entered with the Abyssal Demon following her.

Dyrroth thought quickly. He stood with his eyes wide fixed at Selena who was walking away slowly.

"WAIT!" Dyrroth shouted.

Selena turned back smiling once again.

"How about a pact?" Dyrroth asked.

"A pact for what?" Selena replied.

"With our powers combined, we could dominate this world. The Lord of the Abyss would be impressed of our work. Only, this would be possible if you teach me the ways of the abyss. So that I may understand what to deal with when I am accepted to represent him, " said Dyrroth.

Alice and Thamuz we're surprised of what he had said.

"Dyrroth what are you doing? " Alice whispered.

But Dyrroth did not answer, he started walking towards Selena. Her Abyssal Demon went in front of her growling at Dyrroth. Yet she controlled the demon into her hands and walked closer to him. They stopped keeping 3 ft distance.

"So this is your way of earning his trust?" asked Selena as she smirked.

"Not just his trust but also yours. As the voice of the abyss, I realized I must also have a connection to you. Like your connection to him."

Selena let the Abyssal Demon float in her right palm, she gazed upon it as it gazed back.

"I'm not an easy person, Dyrroth. I'm not just the one who you should deal with, " she said.

"I know, that's why I'll do my best to prove who I am," said Dyrroth as he walked closer to Selena and stopped only inches away.

Dyrroth gazed upon Selena and placed his left hand beneath her right. All of a sudden, great power combined with the Abyssal Demon. Its form was now much more demonic. Selena and Dyrroth felt the connection. They both felt how strong they were.

Selena finally closed her hand and the Abyssal Demon disappeared. She moved back a few steps and smiled to Dyrroth.

"Return to my place once you're ready. I'll be waiting for you there. "

Just after Selena finally left, Dyrroth went back to his throne and sat. Alice and Thamuz looked at him demanding for some explanations.

Dyrroth told them to trust him. After all, it was his test. He wished not to be questioned in his choices.

"Are you certain you could do this on your own?" asked Thamuz.

"Yes. I'll do anything for the Abyss... ANYTHING! "
