Bloodbath

It had been months since the last time Dyrroth had sat on his throne. He remembered the feeling from that perspective as he looked around the vast demon lair.

Echoes of growling demons were heard from his location. He missed those noises too.

But Dyrroth got a bit confused. Usually, after hearing those growls,  demons would already be running towards him. Nothing was charging against him. Should he be bothered or not?

That's new. he thought.

Just then, Alice flew over Dyrroth and landed before the throne. She was carrying the Calamity Reaper with her left hand.

"I suppose you already took your time sitting on your beloved throne, " said Alice.

"Guess I've been away for too long, " he replied.

"I agree but considering that you had a great time with Selena, it was worth the while..."

"I ask that you do not mention her. Why are you here by the way?"

"I want to test this weapon. I believe you can help me with that. Besides, this is to end the conflict."

"It's not done yet?"

"Oh yes, have you forgotten that it is you who must end it? I'm just here for help. To assist the prince. Like it or not, it is what the Dark Lord wanted."

"When will you speak to him again?"

"In 10 days...so are you going to stand there or what?"

"Fine. I've seen how Se- how it works. I'll be able to at least tell what it can do," Dyrroth cleared his throat.

"Good. Come on, I'll show you where the fun is."

Alice took Dyrroth to the place where they would need to try the Calamity Reaper. It was just a narrow pathway filled with small demons. Nevertheless, they should be careful for those small demons are deadly when they move in massive numbers as one.

Dyrroth told Alice what he had seen. Alice seemed to be having little troubles with the weapon but after a while she finally understood it. She made a strong link to it and felt its power.

Alice gave a sign to Dyrroth that she was ready. Dyrroth got the signal and created an opening for Alice. The demons moved faster and Dyrroth was being flanked, Alice released her flowing blood orb and teleported into it stunning the demons. Dyrroth destroyed the demons as Alice finished off the remaining demons with her basic power. Demon blood filled the ground and Alice was satisfied yet not completely amused because of how it smelled to her.

"Not bad, but I don't think it's meant for demons like this, " Alice said.

"Might be not meant for you..." Dyrroth mumbled.

"What did you just say?"

"I said that you must practice more with it."

"Right...come on, small things are not for me, I want large ones, those that will give me thrill."

Alice and Dyrroth continued slaying demons. Dyrroth actually didn't consider if the demons would surrender or not, he just wanted to kill, kill, and kill. Alice, on the other hand,  was too busy on using the Calamity reaper. She was confused about knowing how stronger her usual magic would get after using her specialties. Dyrroth didn't care much, he knew that the weapon was not really giving big impact on her overall. He knew that it was just her trophy.
