Confrontations

It was dead silent. Dyrroth yawned as he scratched his neck changing his position while he was sitting on his throne. He then checked his claws thinking he might need to sharpen them again.

Then there still stood Alice and Thamuz. They looked unimpressed watching Dyrroth do nothing while they've been standing there for more than five minutes. Alice had enough with his attitude, clearing her throat as loud as she could.

"What?" Dyrroth asked calmly.

"What?Is that all you can say?! The moment you returned, you knew you had something to explain!" said Alice with her hands crossed.

"How am I supposed to know what you want to know?!"

"Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about..." Alice said as she walked to Dyrroth.

"Here we go again, with the guessing games-"

Dyrroth was silenced by Alice's slap. The sound was quick but it echoed throughout the area. Dyrroth was still in shock he kept his head still as he felt how strong the slap was which actually left a mark on his right cheek.

"I'm disappointed Dyrroth. You think you'll get away with what you've done? You think I'll just let you slip? Dyrroth, I knew you let her away," said Alice placing her hands on her waist.

Dyrroth just looked at Alice but it was a deadly stare. He then moved his head looking straight finally taking a big breathe.

"So what? I don't know what pisses you off- that I did not do what you said or the fact that she still might be alive. After all, Selena is the only one you envy the most...right?"

"Listen you-"

"If you really want Selena dead, then why not you do it on your own?"

"Oh really? Very well Dyrroth, I'll keep that in mind. But in other matters, what caused for you to leave without my permission? What are you looking for out there?" said Alice crossing her arms.

"I had to leave to see what lies out there. To see what would I go up against."

"Is that what you really did? Or are you hiding something else?

"I don't understand why you want me to keep answering your nonsense questions to me. We must have our plans ready for the war," Dyrroth sat once more on his throne staring at Alice with an annoyed serious look signaling that she must leave his throne.

Within minutes, Dyrroth's throne was surrounded by demons and the most trusted warriors of the Abyss. They were all waiting for Dyrroth to start the meeting.

"I've seen our enemies make their move. We must not be complacent. With one wrong move they can use it as their advantage against us. Gather all demons of every kind, we shall attack as soon as possible!" shouted Dyrroth.

"That's not enough motivation Dyrroth. We will not win with that kind of temper. If you are going to lead us you, yourself, must be filled with hunger but what I see now, is that you're already full," said Alice.

"Thamuz, why don't you set an example to this lad..." she added.

Thamuz grinned and began speaking with his voice roaring loud for every demon to hear. Dyrroth noticed that Thamuz's plan was ideal to his own. He also noticed the eagerness of the other demons when Thamuz was speaking. He felt that he was disrespected, or maybe that was what Alice wanted as his punishment. He looked at her with the evil grin on her face clapping to Thamuz's speech.

"Anything else you want to add Dyrroth?" asked Thamuz.

"There's nothing more. I believe you've already told everyone here of your plan which turned out similar to mine. I also believe that everyone here agreed to said plans..." Dyrroth said seeing the demons nod.

"...then there's one more thing left to do."

The word had spread around the abyss. Demons lurking in the shadows finally revealed themselves and rushed towards Dyrroth's throne where the beacon from the Lord of the Abyss' totem was.

Various kinds of demons gathered within the vicinity. Dyrroth was amazed to see the demons all in one place. From afar he recognized one of the demon kinds- the shriek demon. He immediately looked away after remembering what happened to his first encounter with this kind of demon.

Alice then gave orders to Terizla and Balmond to distribute weapons and armors to the demons.

Everything went very well but Dyrroth felt something was lacking. He decided to go back towards the Necrokeep. But as he reached the entrance, he was halted by Leomord. Dyrroth told Leomord about the business he brought with him and yet he was still not allowed to enter.

"Leomord, let me speak to your Queen!" demanded Dyrroth.

"Leave now Prince! Don't make me summon my horse and chase you away," Leomord said coldly.

"I won't leave until my word reaches Queen Vexana!"

"What.Is.With.The. NOISE?!"

The two stopped quarreling seeing Faramis was approaching.

"Dyrroth what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be planning on some wars?" asked Faramis.

"We just did and I need to speak to the queen about this."

"Well I'm afraid Queen Vexana is not interested on joining you. She has not received any word from the Dark Lord so she would not make her move as part of your plan."

"But-"

"Just go Dyrroth, you won't get Queen Vexana's support for now."

Dyrroth had no choice but to leave, when he returned back to his place, all the demons were ready for the war. They were all waiting for him.

Alice came to his side with crossed arms, Dyrroth knew she was demanding for an explanation.

"Tried to ask for Queen Vexana's help..." he said.

"Well, I could clearly see it wasn't successful, besides we do not need her help. We have all that we need. We have you Dyrroth. And now, your army needs your command." replied Alice showing the hundreds of demons ready to fight.

"HAIL PRINCE DYRROTH!"

The demons shouted loudly, with this Dyrroth felt his pride increased. It was a very different feeling hearing his name being shouted by the demons looking towards him. Dyrroth stretched his right arm in front of him and his power surged from his claws. The shouting got louder and now the abyss was filled with demon growls, they were praising their only Prince.

I'm sorry for not updating. I've been really busy. 

I've only got few more days before doing some school works once more. Hopefully I could update 2 or 3 chapters before our "short" break ends.
