They say the words that hurt you the most are the ones left unsaid.
/like the apology on the tip of your tongue/
/like the story of your heart ache dying to be out in the open /
But the only thing I ever learned was to keep the words /the heartaches /the crash /the sadness / hidden in the far most part of my heart like my favorite winter sweater kept hidden in the cupboard /it's summer you know / like someone finally giving you blank paper to spill the words in your heart /or in your mouth /
but then you don't know how to
write because you were never
told that you could write about your heartaches /about your
anger
/ about your frustration /
Because how to write something so tragic without making a tragedy /how to write something beautiful when all your life you kept your words hidden in your pockets thinking they were a disaster/
/how to write even a tragedy
with shaking hands/ and with
blood like tears pouring.
So you don't write
/you spill/
The blood / the heartache /the sadness /the anger /
Like an angry storm /it's not pleasent like rain/ it's the sky showing anger / what's the reason / there doesn't have to be a reason / so write like a storm /
With all your anger and your sadness and all that you keep hidden/because it's not beautiful / because what is even beautiful anyway.
