I woke up to the sound of an alarm annoyingly beeping very close to my ear. I then remember exactly what happened last night.

I agreed to watch Love, Simon with Pete last night and after that we stayed up for hours talking about his crush on Patrick. He texted him back and they had a conversation last night about when they're gonna meet up. It was one of the most exciting things to happen to us in all of the two months we've been here.

But now I'm starting to regret it because i got like zero sleep last night and we both have class this morning.

"Wentz! Get your ass out of bed!"

I hear a groan come from his bed but he doesn't move.

"Come on Pete we've got ten minutes."

"Why do you set your alarm so late??"

"How come you don't have one of your own?"

"Too much work."

I sigh at that. "Come on Pete, I'll buy you Dunkin after class I promise."

That gets him out of bed almost immediately and he's frantically looking around for what I can assume is his phone.

"No bs?" He asks.

"No bs." I confirm, holding my hands up in mock surrender.

We both throw on some random clothes and are out the door in 5 minutes.

"Remind me again why we have to take a public speaking class?" Pete asks me.

"Because it's a required class?"

"I know that Way, I meant why is it a required class."

"Something about being able to speak in front of people in public blah blah blah. For me that doesn't really apply because being a writer requires no social interaction."

"is that the reason you wanna be a writer?"

"Not the only reason." I say dramatically.

"Sure Way, sure." He says sarcastically while opening the door to the classroom for me.

"What a gentlemen."

"Thank you, I try my best."

We walk in and sit in our normal spot towards the back. We're not trouble makers, not by any means. We just don't like to be called on and don't like people to really look at us.

We were making small talk in the back before Mr. Armstrong decided to start the lesson.

He was talking about Logos, Pathos, and Ethos. This was something I had learned a while back but he was teaching us how to use them in context of speeches.

I wasn't really paying attention and I could tell that Pete wasn't either. The one thing however that did catch our attention was when someone walked through the door in the middle of the lesson. I didn't really think much of it, just thought it was a little strange. The guy looked around my age. He had dyed black hair, and from what I could tell his eyes were a darker shade of greenish brown. He walked up to Mr. Armstrong and handed him something, to which he responded with a hum. I didn't really think much of it until Mr.Armstrong cleared his throat and started talking again.

"Alright class, it appears we have a new student in our class. Please welcome Frank Iero."

My jaw just about dropped at that. And I think I saw Pete's drop too.

"Uh, Gerard?" He leans over and whispers to me.

"Y-yeah?"

"What did uh." He pauses for a moment before continuing. "What did the "Frank Iero" in your story look like??"

It took me a second before I realized. He looked exactly the same.

"U-uhm, black dyed hair, greenish brown eyes, somewhat slimmer body figure?" I say, almost questioning myself.

"Do you not find this FUCKING WEIRD???" He whisper yells at me.

"Of course I do!" I snap back.

"This could all just be an extreme coincidence?" He says, almost like a question rather than a statement.

"Mr.Wentz and Mr. Way, would you care to share with me why you're talking in my class?"

Both our heads shoot up and see Mr.Armstrong with his arms crossed looking at us.

"We're sorry Mr.Armstrong, it won't happen again." Pete says.

"Better not. Anyway, Mr. Iero go ahead and sit down, I'll have someone catch you up on what you have missed tomorrow, but for today let me finish this lesson."

"It's actually 'eye Ear o" he corrects."

"Oh okay, sorry about that." Mr. Armstrong says.

"No problem." Frank says with a smile and then starts to walk in our direction. It's then when I realized how actually beautiful he was. He looked exactly like I had imagined when I wrote him. Those speckles in his eyes were a last minute addition and I'm glad they were. They look absolutely adorable on him. I'm too busy staring to notice that Pete had begun talking to me again.

"Yo, Way. Earth to Way, hello??"

"Oh, sorry I was just distracted."

"Don't tell me you have a crush on him."

"So what if I do?"

"Gerard, dude. He's a character YOU MADE UP! Let's start focusing on how the fuck he came to life, rather than how pretty he is."

"We don't even know that he came to life." I try to reason. "He could just be a new student that happens to look exactly like a character I've written. Or, maybe he's someone I've seen on the streets before and took inspiration from subconsciously. I heard that's something that our brains do. Besides, it's not even possible that he came to life. That's not exactly how this world works Pete."

"So you're telling me, that this random dude just happened to decide to go to college a month after college classes already started, instead of just taking online classes, waiting another year, or taking a summer class instead? And he just so happens to look like a character that you made up and literally told me that you wished he was real? What more proof do you need Way?!"

"Maybe I should talk to him. I designed his personality so I know exactly how he would act if he was actually the Frank I designed. If he acts sarcastic sweet and sassy, then he's my Frank. If he acts like anything else, it's an extreme coincidence."

"Aren't there any key features that would separate him from everyone else?"

"He plays guitar." I say. "And I also designed his personal life. So I'll ask him questions about his family, the town he lives in, and where he works if anywhere. I'll tell you what I figure out since you're so invested in this."

"I'm more confused than anything else. I just want answers."

The bell then rings and we gather our things and start to walk out the door. But before I can get there I'm stopped by none other then Frank Iero himself.
