This is again one of my poems originally written back when I was in Grade 6. I revised it with a little help from my good friend Jaja who is also my proofreader :)
It's longer than the previous poems, and the saddest one yet sorry hahaha. Can't believe I wrote this as a 12 year old. :)))

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO?

We loved each other, that I know.
But tell me, why did you have to go?

When we were young we started out as friends
And we formed a bond that truly blends.
I fell for you and you fell for me,
And both of us shouted out in glee.

We started to have a new relationship
Leveling up from our friendship.
But as we grew old,
That relationship turned cold.

You found another girl then became more distant.
My mind was a mess but I put up a brave front.
I asked and instead of me you chose her,
Still I was wishing to hear a different answer.

You followed her when she went to another place,
Not even for the last time letting me see your face.
I know it's stupid but I kept on hoping
You'd realize your mistake and come back running.

Months later, I received a letter
Filled with regret and despair from her.
I didn't know why 'till I read the last part,
Which shattered my already broken heart.

It started with her long apology,
Then she told me about your tragedy.
You passed away last week.
My eyes widened, I couldn't speak.

Crushed by the hopelessness and misery,
What could've been if you hadn't left me?
But now we will never be together
Because you truly are gone forever.

Oh I'm drowning in my sorrow,
Why did you have to go?
