Deans eyes fluttered open, the faint light of dawn seeped through the gap in the curtains. He wasn't tired anymore, so he got up quietly and grabbed a coffee and took it onto the balcony.
An hour or two later- he had lost track of time just watching the sun rise over the lake- he hurt a bizzare noise coming from the bedroom.
He stepped back inside and hid behind the curtain as he watched Cas. He was awake and writhing around groaning in pain and stretching. He must have made a noise, as Cas suddenly sat bolt upright and smiled.
"Morning Dean"
"Uh, are you OK Cas?"
"Quite alright. I was.... Stretching."
Dean walked over to the bed, crawled on top of Cas, pinned him down and kissed him. "Don't lie to me."
"I.... Uh- I... Need to stretch my wings"
"Oh. Since when? You've never had to before"
"I have. I Just did it while I was away from you. But we have been together all the time so..."
"So? If it hurts just get them out" Dean smiled.
"I... They aren't very... I don't want you to see them"
"What? Why not Cas?"
"They are..... Broken"
"I bet they're beautiful"
"Dean....."
"Cas." Dean said fiercely.
"Fine. I need more space."
He stomped out into the lounge and sat down on the sofa. Dean perched on the coffee table opposite and watched intently.
"Close your eyes Dean."
"Awww why do-"
"Just do it" Cas snapped and Dean shut his eyes, resting his hands in his lap. A few moments later he heard a loud woosh and a sigh from Cas.
"You can open them now" Cas sounded reluctant and nervous.
Dean slowly opened his eyes and gasped.
Two huge wings, spread the length of the room, were gently moving with Cas' heavy breaths. They were black and each feather was tipped with silver.
"Cas..... They're....."
"Hidious"
"Gorgeous." Dean corrected him with a smile as he reached for his hand. He held it tight between his and looked into Cas' eyes.
"Look at them Dean. Really look at them"
Dean took another look and realised what Cas was talking about. The bone part along the top was crooked, as if it had been snapped and then tried to be fixed, and there were feathers missing here and there.
"Oh Cas. What happened."
"I fell Dean. This is what it does."
"Cas. You should know. They are still beautiful."
"No their not"
Dean reached his hand to touch the wings. He traced his fingers lightly over the bone and heard Cas suck in a breath.
"What is it? Does it hurt? I'm so sorry"
"No Dean. Wings are sensitive. It's not pain it's....."
"Pleasure." Dean finished, smirking to himself. Cas nodded curtly and turned his face away.
Dean gripped Cas' chin and turned his head back to him. "They are exquisite Cas. You should be proud of them"
"But the...."
"It just shows your story Cas. Everyone has scars, it's just yours are more..... Feathery" Dean smiled and dipped his head to kiss Cas.
"You really think so Dean?" Cas' eyes had hope in them.
"Yes. And I'll prove how much I love them"
Dean dismounted the table and shuffled onto Cas' lap, reaching his arms around him.
"What are you-" Cas' words were cut short by a loud moan that escaped his lips as Dean gently rubbed the base of his wings.
"There?"
Cas just bit his lip and nodded.
Dean caressed the feathers at the base until Cas was moaning again, at which point he gripped the feathers tightly and tugged slightly.
"DEAN" Cas screamed as he came, probably ruining his trousers-not that he couldn't fix it with some angel mojo.
"Jesus. They must be really sensitive. You were so quick"
Cas blushed deep scarlet and hid his face, Dean lifted his chin for the second time that night, and kissed him deep and slow.
Cas was aroused again and new that now Dean liked his wings, he could use them against him.
