Dean and Cas looped arms as they stepped through the gates of the grand house.
"Don't be so tense Cas" Dean whispered, calming him with another kiss to the neck.
"I can't help but feel that everyone will look at us....."
"I thought you weren't bothered."
"I...... I Just...."
"Don't worry" Dean smiled, holding Cas' arm tighter, and laying a hand over his.
Cas' frame laxed a little, and he smiled back at Dean."I'm good" He reassured.
As they handed their fraudulent invites to the doorman, they got a raised eyebrow, but pleasent treatment nonetheless.
A few moments later, Dean and Cas watched Eileen and Sam arrive, and gestured them over to the bar. They had a few drinks and, as the first dance started, Sam and Eileen snuck off to the next floor, and Dean swept Cas up, taking him up onto the floor.
The music started up, and Cas took Dean in his arms, leading him to the centre, where he let Dean take the lead. Everyone waltzed, but although the room was filled with other couples, Dean was the only other person Cas could see. Dean and Cas passionately moved around the floor, finding it surprisingly easy to dodge the remaining couples, because one by one they were moving off to create a circle around the hunters.
"People are watching Dean.." Cas said, a panic creeping into his voice.
"Let them Angel" Dean smiled, spinning Cas and catching him close to his body. As they swayed and stepped, neither of them payed any attention to the other people, although if they had, they would have seen that, apart from one snobbish looking couple, everyone else in the room was smiling and watching with nothing but kindness in their eyes.
The song began to slow, and Cas and Dean moved closer, Cas resting his head in Dean's shoulder, and breathing in his cologne. Dean spun Cas once more, but when he caught him, he leant him down and kissed him. Right there in front of everybody.
I can't believe I'm doing this. I can't believe I'm doing this. Everyone is watching..... Nobody is judging. This is perfect. Just me and my Angel, for the whole world to see. We love each other and for once, I couldn't give a shit what they thought.
Dean lifted Cas, still lip locked, back onto his feet, where they finished their romantic kiss, and everyone clapped.
As Dean looked around he saw Eileen and Sam standing by the stairs. God knows how long they had been standing there, but they were watching with mushy lovey faces.
Everyone crowded around to carry on their dancing, and Dean dragged Cas off to see his brother.
"Awww you guys..." Sam smiled.
Dean didn't say anything, he just pulled Cas closer and kissed his forehead.
"God. You two are really in love." Eileen stated, beaming with joy.
"Did you find it?" Cas asked.
"Yes. Sad to say, we better get a move on."
"It's a shame, we haven't even had a dance..." Eileen said.
"You know...... I think me and Cas want some..... Time together" Dean said with a wink. "So, why don't we take it, and you guys can have some fun. Dance a little. Go crazy."
Sam gave him a bro hug and subtlety slipped the gem into his tux pocket, before patting Cas' arm and escorting Eileen to the dance.
"Thanks you guys.... Have fun" He said, turning back to them.
"Oh we will" Dean dragged Cas away, holding his hand.
They were just leaving when they were stopped by a group of burly men. There were three. One had a long black beard- aka beardy- one had a tweed suit- aka grandpa- and one, unbelievably, had an eyepatch- aka eyepatch.
"You two should be ashamed. Flaunting your discusting relationship like that." Beardy grimaced, distain clear on his face.
Dean went to move past him, but he blocked him, and eyepatch laughed.
"You wanna move?" Dean said calmly.
"Not for you faggot." Beardy snapped.
"I suggest you listen to my fiance. We don't want to resort to violence, especially not in such a nice establishment." Cas smiled politely.
"Like We're worried about what a couple of Fags are gonna do to us. " Grandpa laughed.
"Move. I'm warning you" Dean said one final time.
"No" They all said in unison.
Dean and Cas sighed. They had to have their lovely night ruined.
Cas moved forward, and when Beardy stuck out his hand to shove him, he grabbed his arm and twisted it. Hearing a crack the man screamed and stumbled away. Eyepatch was up next, he lunged at Dean, presumably hoping he was weaker. Dean took a right hook to his jaw, and as he was stumbling kicked him in the balls. Grandpa was nervous at this point, but took a swung anyway, it hit Cas' left cheek, and he pulled away cradling his fist. Dean remembered when he had punched him, it felt like punching a thick concrete wall. He took this opportunity to throw Grandpa into a wall, head first, then take Cas' hand and start leaving.
"How??!!!" The crying Beardy called.
"Strength is not determined by sexuality. You underestimated us simply because we are in a 'discusting relationship' that was your mistake"
Cas' air quotes mocked the whimpering man, and made Dean laugh.
"We're gonna go have some discusting gay sex now. Have a nice night." Dean saluted and walked off, sliding his hand down to hold Cas' ass as they walked- he was just trying to annoy them now.
