Yoongi POV
After that unpredictable and bold movement, I could only stare at her back leaving me on the now crowded coffeehouse. It's my cue to leave. I hurried to finish my coffee and leave.
Back in my apartment, I find myself looking at my phone showing her contact number blankly. Now that I got her number, so what? Should I call her and tell her that it's my number? Or should I just leave it?
Think.
Alright, I think I know what to do right now. I don't have to question myself anymore about this, right? I'm going to call her. I tap the Call icon on my phone and it starts beeping.
"Yes, hello?" Her voice soothes and calms my nerves even when I don't need it. Her voice is smooth and deep at the same time. I told you, even from her laugh I could create a musical masterpiece. I swear I could listen to her talking all day, all night. Sadly, I never got a chance to do so. Oh, how I wish I would.
"Is this y/n?" There's some sort of period. "Yes, who's this?"
"It's Yoongi. Min Yoongi." I cleared my throat out of my nervousness.
"Ah...Yoongi. What's up? What's wrong? Is there anything I could help?" That leaves me smiling. She's still the old same girl that always care for me.
"No...nothing, it's just...you know, just wanna let you know that this is my number."
"Is that all?" She sounds as if she's waiting for another answer from me. Should I say it?
...
Okay, I should.
"No, actually uh...Do you want to grab some coffee another day? Uh..like, only if you want to of course." There's a silence for some seconds.
"Coffee would be nice."
After mentioning the time and place, she hangs up the phone and I feel like I wanna hang myself right now. WHAT. DID. I. JUST. DO?! It almost feels like, the part of me denied everything that I do but the others feel relieved because I did it.
________
Third Person POV
The thing is, his heart, wins this time. It craves certainty. He leaves her hanging with uncertainty for so long. He was selfish to sacrifice a pure loving-heart of her, to break her trust and the fact that he leaves her completely gone like a wind. But when he leaves, he knows, he just knows that she will always be the very best part of him.
As for her, when he left, somehow she lost sight of the person she was once meant to be, and she wasn't sure if she'd ever had the opportunity to find that person again. Yes, she was young, but her heart and head know what she wanted back then. She had known the kind of love that was worth risking everything for, the kind of love that was as rare as a glimpse of heaven. Even if she bumped into a new person, fall in love with him, have her own family, she knows----she just knows. That she won't love that person as much as she loves him.
And that's why when she hangs up the phone after his invitation to another coffee, she felt like crying. It was her first time shedding tears of happiness after all these years. She felt relieved that this day finally comes.
And the day finally comes. It was a small and new coffee shop, no one was actually there in the evening, weird. But she was already there when he comes.
"I'm sorry for being late." He said to her. "No, no, it's just I came early. Please be seated." He seats down. He did not take off his mask, just like their encounter last time. He has no idea that she has been craving to see that face of a man that she missed. She misses seeing his face up close, but she understands.
