Jimin hadn't planned to be back in Hell so soon after he left. But unfortunately, he had some responsibility to the place whether he liked it or not. If Hell were to fall under the angel's control, his power would be severely diminished since Hell itself was a storage place for a lot of his strength.
The angels would no doubt try to imbue Hell with their disgusting light. Jimin and Sparrow touched down on top of the tallest tower of Jimin's castle. Jimin had ordered the castle to be completely remodeled before he left to find Elena. His father's style was much too overbearing and scary considering that he eventually wanted to bring Elena there. He could have done the remodeling himself in minutes, but didn't want to waste time in Hell that
could be spent with Elena. Overall he was happy with the changes. When Elena was a child she had told Jimin that she dreamed of being a princess in a palace. Jimin smiled. He couldn't wait until he could make her his princess. If only she had her memories back... Jimin glared at Sparrow. Useless... he thought to himself. It would have been so much easier had Sparrow been able to undo what his previous self did. Whenever the current Devil dies, so does the Sparrow.
The reincarnated Sparrow has no memory of his previous life. Despite Jimin grilling Sparrow about unlocking Elena's memories and various attempts to do so, neither he nor Sparrow had been successful thus far. Jimin sighed and surveyed the battles that spanned out in front of him. Such skirmishes were not uncommon since Heaven and Hell were constantly at odds with one another. Jimin smiled at the carnage and drank in the smell of fresh blood that permeated the air, pushing his worries about Elena's memory to the back of his mind.
Although the scent of war didn't come close to matching Elena's, it was intoxicating nonetheless and ignited his bloodlust.
"Let's get this over with quickly, shall we?" He said as he let his consciousness fade and instincts take over. His perception of time blurred and his mind focused on the need to squeeze the life out of everything he saw.Within seconds the battlefield was littered with corpses of angels and demons alike. The Devil didn't discriminate in his killing spree. If it was alive, he slaughtered it. When there wasn't another living being in sight, his instincts shifted back to Elena.
Where is she?
Why isn't she in my arms? In a brief flash of light he transported back to Earth to find his precious girl.***
On Monday Elena was puzzled when Jimin didn't meet her at their usual corner to walk to school. She grew more concerned when he wasn't in class that morning either. Where was he?At lunch she ascended the stairs and opened the door to the roof, half hoping against her better
judgement that she'd find him there, waiting for her with a smile.
"Hello, Elena." The voice that met her wasn't Jimin's but taehyung's.
Elena jumped. "H-hello!" Something about taehyung was off, he seemed quite tense and there was an edge of urgency in his voice.
"Listen, Elena, I need to talk to you. I know this is sudden and you won't believe me at first, but it's about you and Jimin."Taehyung looked around as if to make sure no one else was there, listening in.
"O-ok," Elena replied slowly. "What's wrong?"
Taehyung grimaced.
"I don't know how to say this is a way that you'll believe me... Just promise not to faint, ok?" Before Elena could reply two pure white wings unfurled from taehyung's back.He seemed to glow ethereally. Elena gasped.
"No way! You, you, you have wings!" She exclaimed. Then a realization dawned on her.
"Oh my gosh. I've done something very wrong haven't I? I apologize deeply to God and all the angels, I am so sorry." Elena bowed deeply. Taehyung waved his hands back and forth. "No, no, Elena. Don't worry. You are an exceptionally good person." He paused. "Ah, but I suppose there's more to explain than I originally thought..."Taehyung explained to Elena about the battle of "Good" versus "Evil" at the beginning of time. "So you see, humans have an equal amount of "Good" and "Evil" in them. Then their own personal choices and lifestyle can tip that balance. At the end of a person's life, that balance determines whether the soul goes to Heaven or Hell. Angels have an exceptional amount of "Good" that give us powers such as immortality and...magic, for lack of a better word. What humans think of as "God" is actually the overarching power of "Good" in Heaven and Earth. The Grand Archangel is the one who rules over Heaven and has the most "Good" power within."
Elena nodded slowly and taehyung continued."The same goes for demons and Hell. The Devil is the one who rules over Hell." Elena laughed nervously. "You're right," She said. "That is a lot to take in."
Taehyung nodded. "And I'm afraid there's more. You see, I am actually...an archangel. I was sent to Earth from heaven to search out and protect a very special person. We suspected for a long time that there was an Earth-born angel. Normally angels are conceived in Heaven, but long ago there was a legend that one day the universe would place an angel on Earth for a very specific and important purpose." taehyung walked towards Elena, who was struggling to comprehend everything. And on top of all that, I can't believe that I've had a crush on an angel! She thought bewilderdly.
He's simply perfect...
"C-can I touch your wings?" She blurted out. As soon as the words were said she gasped and covered her mouth in embarrassment.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, I just kind of lost
my filter there for a second, I-" taehyung placed a hand on her shoulder and laughed.
"Don't worry, Elena. Of course you can touch my wings."
He turned around to give Elena better access. She slowly reached out and touched the white feathers. They were softer than a cloud and sent a
pleasant, warm feeling through her fingers that radiated throughout her body and made her feel calm.
"Beautiful..." She said.
Taehyung turned back around. "Thank you."
Elena blushed realizing she had once again spoken without thinking.
"Don't worry," taehyung said, patting her on the head.
"You're actually taking all this very well. But we
should talk quickly, Jimin is gone right now but who knows when he'll be back."Elena perked up immediately. "Do you know where he is?" She asked excitedly."I have my suspicions, but that's not the point. The main point is that Jimin is dangerous, Elena.
He, like me, isn't human. However, unlike me, he is a demon."
A bemused expression crossed over Elena's face. "But... then he's a nice demon, right?"
Taehyung shook his head. "Sadly, no. Elena, he is fooling you right now. He's not only a demon, but the
Devil himself. He is the one ruling over Hell and all evil in this world. He has killed countless angels, humans, and demons alike for sport."Elena's mind was whirling.
"No, no that can't be right! It just can't. I'm sorry, taehyung, but Jimin is my friend. He would never do anything like that..."
Taehyung looked pained, he didn't like making elena so upset. "I'm sorry, elena. I wouldn't have told you
had I not thought you were in danger."
"In danger?" Elena couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"He's planning to kill you, Elena."
