A Hero

Chapter 8

Shoto woke up to the sound of someone knocking on his door "Todoroki! It's 2pm! Get the hell up, we are having a meeting in the common area!" Aizawa yelled. Shoto looked at his phone to check the time "It's exactly 2pm..." he muttered to himself before getting up. He showered and changed into regular clothes.

"Okay now that Todoroki's here we can discuss the plan" Aizawa started as Shoto took his seat on the couch.

"For this mission we are taking Todoroki, Midoriya, Bakugo, Yaoyorozu, Iida, Kirishima, Uraraka, and a few pro heroes such as me and Endeavor".

"Hold on! Why are we taking him?!" Shoto asked sounding annoyed. Aizawa sighed "He said he wants to go" he replied, Shoto nodded and signaled him to continue. The plan was simple, Shoto will go to the location in casual clothes so they'll think he's alone. They don't know how many villains will be at the location, Once Shoto sees and opening him and other heroes will attack the enemy and retrieve his mother.

It was now late afternoon, the time Shoto was supposed to meet the villain. The students and Pro heroes were already in there places. Aizawa texted Shoto to start heading to the location.

Shoto walked in the alley where the villain and him were supposed to met, he leaned against the wall as he waited for the villain.
"Aren't they supposed to be here?" Midoriya whispered to Aizawa "Yeah-" as Aizawa finished, a warp gate revealed. Shoto got up quickly when he saw his mother and the villain who claims to be Touya Todoroki appear from the warp gate.

"Shoto..." Dabi said.

"I came, hand her over" Shoto replied holding out his hand. Dabi complied and let Rei go, she ran towards Shoto and wrapped her arms around him "Mom...did he hurt you?" Shoto asked returning the hug "No Shoto...I'm okay" she replied wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Shoto" Dabi said, Shoto turned to face him "What do you want?" He asked coldly, Dabi pointed at the teen "You" he replied.

"What do you mean?!" Shoto asked, Dabi chuckled before replying "Join us Shoto...or should I say...brother".

Shoto clenched his fist and gritted his teeth "Touya would never join villains!" He yelled, Dabi chuckled "You know how father used us, abused us, beat us, hate us...and even called us failures...well...that's the reason I left...I couldn't take it anymore..." he replied.

"Couldn't take it?! The reason you left was because he kicked you out!" Shoto yelled, Dabi ignited his fist with blue flames and punched the wall next to him "I was gonna leave sooner!" He yelled back. Midoriya got up but was held back by Aizawa meanwhile Endeavor was filled with rage and guilt and Rei was lost for words.

"He's just a shitty bastard who cares for his own selfish desires! You hate him too, right?! Let's kill him together! The reason I kidnapped mom was to lure you here! So we can kill that bastard once and for all!"

Shoto froze I hate the man so much but...I don't wanna kill him...He thought to himself.

"If you won't come willingly...I'll take you forcefully!" Dabi launched a wave of flames towards Shoto, he quickly took action and carried his mother away from the alley. Pro heroes rushed into battle and surrounded the blue flames user. Touya payed attention to one certain pro hero and let out a small grin.

"TOUYA!" Endeavor shouted charging towards his son but stopped when he saw the warp gate again, more villains appeared.

"Tch! I knew it" Touya muttered under his breath.

"He's brought reinforcements! Everyone be on your guard!" Aizawa yelled. The students jumped into battle "You guys go with Todoroki! He's got to get his mother outta here! Evacuate everyone near this area...things can get messy..." Aizawa ordered his students, everyone nodded and proceeded to the teen.

Shoto barley managed to dodge the attack, his mother was safe but at the cost of his right leg being burnt. Shoto ignored it "Get on! We have to get you someplace safe!".

"Shoto! Your leg!" Rei said looking at the wound "Don't worry about it now get on!" He replied, Rei nodded before getting on his back. Shoto ran as fast as he could but stopped when he saw a warp gate, coming out of the gate was his older brother "Where do you think-" Touya was cut off by an explosion near his face "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" Bakugo yelled before attempting to pin Touya but he managed to dodge "Damn it!" Bakugo muttered under his breath.

Soon the rest came "Todoroki-Kun! We're here!" Midoriya yelled landing next to him followed by the rest "Todoroki-San! Your leg!" Yaoyorozu pointed out "Don't worry about it" Shoto reassured her as well as the others.

"Todoroki-Kun! Take your mom outta here, our main priority is for her to be safe, we'll protect you while you go, those were orders from Aizawa Sensai" Iida explained "Understood" Shoto replied before running with his mother, he was a bit slow due to the leg injury but pushed through the pain. "Shoto honey, I can run with you, that way you ca-" Rei was cut off by a wave of blue flames that were launched at them, Shoto reacted and turned around to make a ice wall thick enough to block the attack. His foot got stuck on the ice "Shit!" He cursed under his breath as he realizes the ice wall wasn't thick enough.

In reality Shoto wasn't as calm as his usual self, he finally got his mom back but the he was distracted by the whole Touya thing and it has messed with his mind.

Think! Think! Think!

As the flames were proceeding towards them Shoto broke off the ice on his foot and created a new ice wall thicker than before. The flames didn't go through "That was close" Shoto said before proceeding to run.

"Detroit Smash!!!" Midoriya yelled as he punched some low level thugs who were chasing Shoto.

"Ricepro Burst!"
"DIEEEE YA IDIOT!!!"

Touya watched as the students defeated the villains that were chasing Shoto "low level thugs were a bad idea after all...I guess I have to do it myself" Touya said before he was met with...orange flames? He counterattacked with his own flames, after the collision an explosion was made, after the explosion...

"Enji...you pathetic bastard..."

"Touya...You are not a failure...Shoto isn't a failure either...the true failure..."

Both men got into a fighting stance.

"Is me"
