"Let's see it!" Baz called. Paul emerged from the dressing room in his astronaut costume for the ball scene, black hair styled and gelled back. Baz had called us into the studio at nine in the morning to rehearse the waltz in full costume, which was disappointing since Leo and I had stayed up so late. I was hoping to sleep in for once, but no such luck.

I adjusted my angel wings and walked over to Paul as Baz started the music. "I've been practicing," I informed him as he chuckled at my confidence. John sat on the other side of the room to watch us practice. "Pretend I'm Romeo for the scene," he called. I laughed but obliged, dancing with Paul but keeping my eyes on John for the whole dance just like I was supposed to do with Romeo in the scene. Baz watched us practice, staring at us intently.

"The dance looks much better. Good work," he complimented, giving us a thumbs up as the song came to an end. "We should become professional dancers," Paul joked, twirling me around once more as I snorted at his comment. "Yeah, for sure."

I made my way back to the other room where Maeve was waiting for me to help take my wig off and put it away. I was eager to get back into my regular, comfy clothes and go home to shower. I walked by Leo, almost not recognizing him. He had his makeup on for the fighting scene. The cuts and bruises on his face and arms looked so real that I almost got alarmed for a moment. He sat in his chair with a pair of headphones in. I could hear 'Vienna' by Billy Joel blaring faintly through his phone as I tauntingly yanked one of his earbuds out to get his attention.

"Who beat you up?" I joked as he looked up to laugh at me. He slowly rose from his seat and jogged over to John to sling an arm around him. "This little bitch."

John laughed loudly before patting Leo on the back. "Yeah, but it's okay because then you kill me. I'm so excited for my death scene," he gushed, earning a laugh from Leo and I.

"I'm just now realizing how fucked up 'Romeo and Juliet' actually is. I mean, Romeo kills Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, and then he just goes to her house, like, an hour later to have sex with her. That's just a whole new level of wack," John continued, putting a headband on to keep his dark hair out of his eyes. Leo snorted and slapped his knee as he laughed at John's observation. "You're so right!"

"Clearly, Juliet doesn't care that much about her cousin," I snickered. "Plus, Tybalt deserved it. He killed Romeo's best friend, and Mercutio is literally the best character in the play."

"Yeah, you fuckin' killed my homie," Leo laughed, jokingly shoving John as they both burst into fits of giggles.

We were interrupted by Maeve jogging into the room. "Sorry, I was in the bathroom. Let's get this off," she breathed out, moving her hands up to help remove my wig. I ran a hand through my hair and shook it out once the wig was finally off and put away. Leo gasped and made his way over to stand behind me, running his fingers through my curls and resting his cheek against the top of my head. "My favorite hair," he hummed happily.

"Who do you love more, Bev or her hair?" John snickered, glancing at us. Leo stood back up and furrowed his eyebrows as if the question required deep thought. "That's a tough one to answer."

I stood up from my chair and shoved him playfully, reaching over to grab the bag of goldfish that was sitting on the table. "Hey Bev, give me some," John called. I scrunched up my nose and shook my head, earning a snort of laughter from Leo. "Get your own."

"She only shares food with me," Leo teased, reaching over to grab some goldfish and smacking my butt jokingly after I turned to walk away. I screamed in surprise and turned to look at him over my shoulder. He was seated in my chair with a cheeky grin on his face, munching loudly on the goldfish. John let out a hoot of laughter as I rolled my eyes and started for the door to go change.
