"Bev!" Leo called, emerging from the elevator. I flinched at his sudden voice, almost dropping my mug of steaming coffee. It was 6:30 in the morning and Paul and I were eating our breakfast in the lobby.

"I didn't think you'd be up this early. Don't you have today off?" Leo asked, pulling up a chair and squeezing himself right between Paul and I. I turned to face him, taking in his lazy morning appearance. "Yeah, but I just wanted to say bye to you since I won't see you all day," I laughed sheepishly.

"You're adorable, you know that?" he replied, stealing a piece of toast off my plate. "I better get going, Baz will flip if I'm late."

He stood up and then bent down to grab my face and sloppily kiss me on the cheek before catching up with Harry, John, and Dash. Paul waved at them as they disappeared outside and then turned his chair to face me. "Your face is totally red."

"What? No it's not"

"It really is."

I whipped out my phone and examined my face in the camera, trying to prove him wrong. Paul grabbed my wrist, laughing as he pulled the phone away. "Relax, I'm messing with you."

I sighed, bringing my knees up to my chest and hugging them. "I know what you all think, but we're not a thing."

Paul snorted before leaning back in his chair and popping a piece of gum in his mouth. "I don't think you guys are a thing. I just think you have a major crush on him."

Now I was officially annoyed and offended. "I don't!" I practically yelled. This only made Paul laugh harder.

"Then why are you screaming at me?"

I slumped down in my chair, no witty comebacks coming to mind.  Paul nudged me playfully, ruffling my hair. "Don't worry. It's not like you're the first."

His comment only made me more irritated. "I'm gonna go to my room and take a shower."

Paul nodded. "Just text me later and we can do something. At least we have the day off."

I shot him a half smile before sulking to the elevator.

\\

I found myself standing in the shower for at least 45 minutes, letting the hot water soak my skin as a million thoughts swarmed in my overwhelmed brain.

I wanted to say Paul was wrong. I wanted to be able to laugh in his face and brush off his teasing, but for some reason it was impossible for me to do that. Maybe it was because he wasn't wrong. Maybe he was right.

How could I let this happen? It was exactly the kind of situation I'd been avoiding my entire career. A year ago, if someone had came up to me and told me I would have a crush on my co-star, I'd be laughing until I couldn't breathe.

And it's not like I could use the 'it's just physical' excuse anymore. I was attracted to so much more about Leo than just his face and charm.

I turned the water off and wrapped myself in a towel to find I had ten messages from Paul telling me to hurry up. And one message from Leo. I opened it quickly.

LEO: i miss u

I groaned, flopping onto my bed.

\\

Paul and I spent the day at the beach and going to restaurants. It was fun and it actually helped me stop thinking about my dysfunctional dilemma for awhile. The boys didn't return until 11:00 at night.

Paul and I were sprawled on my bed watching our fourth horror movie of the day when there was a knock at my door. I jumped up to open it, knowing it was probably Leo. Paul snorted at my enthusiasm as I flipped him off.

"Finally," Leo breathed out upon seeing me, clearly exhausted from his day. He wrapped me in what felt like the most comfortable hug as I practically melted, his arms firmly around my waist.

"So what'd you do today?" he wondered, pulling away and sauntering into my bedroom. "Oh, hey Paul."

"What's up bro?"

"Nothing. What's up with you?"

Paul gestured to the movie that was still quietly playing on the TV. "I'm gonna get going. I'll see you guys later," he yawned through his sentence, standing up and giving me a quick side hug before leaving.

Leo pounced onto my bed, making himself comfortable as I stood staring at him with my arms crossed. "So. How was your movie date with Paul?" he wondered, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

I scoffed, grabbing the remote to switch the TV off. "It was fun."

"Funner than hanging out with me?"

"'Funner' isn't a word."

"Shut up and come here," he laughed, holding his arms out. Cuddling on my bed with Leo was very convincing, but there was a tiny voice in my head chanting: 'you like him, you like him.'

"Leo it's so late, I'm tired."

"Okay so let's go to bed," he laughed, patting the spot next to him. I just gave him a half smile, still awkwardly standing in the doorway.

"I always sleep here, why are you being weird?" he questioned, raising a brow. I rolled my eyes and gave in, making myself comfortable about two feet away from him. He gave me a look before grabbing me and pulling me close to him. "Come here you weirdo," he chuckled, planting a kiss on my jaw before nuzzling his face in the crook of my neck, his arm resting across my stomach.

I closed my eyes, ignoring my beating heart as I tried to fall asleep.
