hiii! okay so i'm so so so SO sorry i haven't updated in, like, forever. i recently moved to another state and have been super busy. i also have to admit that i lost motivation for the story because i started feeling insecure about the plot and my writing, but i'm happy to say that i feel more motivated to start it up again lately and hopefully finish it. i'm not sure how often i'll update but hopefully it will be often enough!
before you get into chapter 9, i want to attach the song, which is important to the story. basically it's called 'kissing you', and it's like romeo and juliet's 'song' throughout the movie and it plays at all the romantic parts. there are two versions; the first version is the one with the actual singer singing the lyrics and the other version is the instrumental version that plays throughout the film. both versions are absolutely beautiful. listening to the instrumental one gets me in my feels every time haha.
instrumental version:
original version:
i will tell you when i advise you to listen to the songs during the chapters, and i highly recommend you do. if you're reading on a laptop or computer, just have the song playing on another tab. if you don't want it playing while you read, give them a listen now if you would like! just to help you visualize and get in the mood of the story hehe. if you ever need to come back here to get the songs, just remember it's in CHAPTER NINE. lol
one more thing! so i know i promised to insert videos of the actual scenes from the movie, but there are two scenes where romeo and juliet are like in bed and naked in stuff, and i don't think they're on youtube due to the nudity, so i apologize for that. if you've watched the movie then you have nothing to worry about hehe.
HAPPY READING !!!! <3

I listened to the sound of the faint waves as I sat on my balcony, my eyes shut. It was around seven o'clock and the sun was starting to set. There were only a couple of hours left until me and Leo had to go do our scene; the scene I had been anxiously avoiding for the past month.
My swarming thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "It's me, open up!"
I recognized Paul's voice, my eyes fluttering open. I wrapped my fluffy bathrobe tighter around my waist and scurried over to my door to let him in. He raised a brow upon my appearance.
"Loving the look," he snickered as I rolled my eyes. He plopped down onto my couch and reached for the remote, switching the channels on the TV. "You nervous for tonight?" he questioned.
I shrugged and seated myself next to him. "Not really. I know it'll be fine."
"It will be. You got this."
I played with the strings of my bathrobe before speaking again. "Were you nervous before your first intimate movie scene?"
Paul snorted as if the question was ridiculous. "Of course. Anyone would be nervous kissing a stranger while being filmed. It's human nature."
I chuckled, propping my feet up on the coffee table. "Leo isn't a stranger though."
"Then you got nothin' to worry about."
