Why does it hurt?

Jennie arrived at the campus ,the sound of her heels echoed throughout the hallway . Her mind was flooded with a lot of thoughts, thoughts about kai did their kiss mean nothing to him ?

She arrived at her lockers to spot a famillair figure standing over there

"You look horrible" jisoo commented and Jennie shook her head

"No, I look hideous" she corrected , even a concealer couldn't hide her puffy eyes after all the pain was much more than any concealer could conceal

Love is a pretty weird thing it can be a drug that kills you or a medicine that heals you . Fortunately for Jennie , she experienced both sides of it and all because of that one person .

Ji Eun tapped her feet waiting for that familiar male to make his entrance which he did

"Jonginie " she said and hugged him but kai was in his own little world lost in his thought

Ji Eun waved her hand breaking his thoughts

"What happened ?" She asked and kai shook his head

Ji Eun smiled at his response . There it was the smile that would make his day but somehow it looked fake , he would no longer feel anything when he was with Ji Eun it was as if she was a different person.

Ji Eun went on her way to class and kai sighed of relief , wait why was he sighing ? Why did he feel pressured when he was with Ji Eun ?

He walked towards his class and met eyes with the girl he had fallen for . He felt butterflies in his stomach just because of an eye contact which she quickly broke but It was enough for kai to notice her puffy eyes and Dark circles . He pulled back his hair and sighed again , this time out of frustration. He knew that he was the reason for her sufferings.

During recess Jennie went near her lockers to put her books back when she spotted a familiar Burnette talking on the phone

"I know , I'm park hayoon who's pretending to be Lee Ji Eun , I didn't forget anything . Just wait a bit more till I make him give his property to me " she said on the phone and Jennie widened her eyes

"I should've known " another voice said behind her sending chills down her spine

She turned her head and went face to face with Him . Their was only 1 cm of distance between them . Kai closed the gap by pecking her on the lips

"Jennie Kim , you're the I like " he said smiling and went towards the girl taking her phone out of her hands

"Jongin , what are you doing here ?" The girl said stuttering

"Aren't you tired of this act ?" He asked and she made a confused face

"What do you mean jonginie " she said hugging him but kai pushed her away

"You're disgusting " he commented and the girls eyes went towards Jennie

"Is it because of her " she asked pointing towards her

"No, it's because of you , you thought I wouldn't find out your plan?" He said and the girl started crying

"I'm sorry but I have no choice I liked you since we were young in middle school , I even got surgery to look like Jieun but you still won't notice me ! Why?" She cried and kai bent towards her and whispered

"Because you're not Jennie Kim "

He stood up and.messaged a number

"From now on you're no longer a part of this school " he said and the left the girl on the ground , taking jennie with him to the cafeteria . Judging by their behaviour towards each other the group thought that they had made up

"Well if it isn't the love birds " Sana commented and the two blushed a deep shade of red

"Yah !" Jennie said slapping her arm

"Are you guys coming to the new years party this weekend? " Jin asked and all of them nodded

"You coming ?" Kai asked Jennie , who nodded

"What about you ?" She asked

"I'm coming of you're there " he replied taking a sip of his choco milk enjoying the blush on her face
