"But that's... impossible! If Chrysalide really is Chat Noir, that means... Adrien and Chat Noir... is the same person?!" Ladybug is absolutely dumbfounded, "this is mad! And if Pegasus' theory was correct, then Chat Noir of Adrien is bond to be a relative of Hawkmoth?!"
"Uh, Ladybug? I think it's no time for conspiracy theories!" called out Carapace as he dodged one of the monster tree's branch and threw his side-facing shield at it.
"You're right! Besides, I'm sure that Adrien isn't Chat Noir. They're like fire and ice, their personalities are complete opposites," Ladybug shook her head in dismissal as she jumped and hit a monster tree using her yo-yo.
"Mirage!" Rena screamed and a result of her illusion power was formed — Chrysalide himself!
"Clever fox! Choosing a form of their own master so that the trees are perplexed and follow the illusion one!" Carapace complimented her as he gave her a high-five.
As expected, the trees got distracted and answered to the illusion Chrysalide, instead. "Come back, you useless horde of walking wood!" Chrysalide noticed that his position as their leader has been replaced.
Ladybug smirked and quickly swung around with her magic yo-yo, orbiting the zombie trees and tied them with her yo-yo string one to another. The trees struggled, but of course were not able to set themselves free from the yo-yo's strangle.
"Argh, fools!" The real Chrysalide stormed at the sight of his troops nearly beaten by a bunch of colorful suited weirdos.
That's when he saw a small peaceful pond located inside the park. There, a few dragonflies are harmlessly flying around. He sneered, "dragonflies, I command you to follow me!" He gestured his hands at the insects and they slowly transform into giant monstrous looking dragonflies.
Ladybug gasped at the sight of petite innocent insects transformed into monsters — staring at her with beady lifeless eyes.
The dragonflies started chasing and spread open their legs as if ready to capture the heroes like claw machines.
The intense fight between several intimidating flying insects, the heroes, and ginormous monster trees, begun, and only by tens of minutes, are about to end. With unfortunately, the helpless superheroes being at the bottom of the food chain.
"Stay strong everyone, don't let these monsters defeat you!" Ladybug motivated her team while slowly approaching Pegasus without letting her guard down and kept fighting to prevent the enemies to injure her. "Pegasus, he controlled the dragonflies, but not me. Do you think that he actually doesn't know that he has the ability to take over me?"
"You're right, this is quite exceptional. It seems like Chrysalide doesn't even know his own powers. He's not aware of what he's capable of. Hawk Moth seems to have done a sloppy job this time. I wonder what difference has caus-" Pegasus' answer were cut by Carapace's bracelet that flashed for the very last time, leaving only a few seconds for him to survive with a suit, "Ladybug, I'm about to transform back!"
Ladybug who's already sweating and anxious due to the horrible circumstances, finally yelled, "lucky charm!"
As a result, a red and black spotted gramophone record player fell down from the sky, and Ladybug managed to catch it.
"What in the world am I supposed to do with thi- wait, of course!" Ladybug finally recognized the record player that leads her back to Master Fu's home! The lucky charm is telling Ladybug to retreat!
"Everyone, abort this mission, and return to headquarters," Ladybug ordered as everyone followed her instruction and ran back towards master fu's house, "I'll handle these pests."
"Hiya!" She jumped and tied some dragonflies and monster trees together with her yo-yo string, and quickly sprinted directing Chrysalide. "To beat the minions, you must first beat the boss!"
"Don't come near me, you filthy bug!" Chrysalide squealed in disgust.
Ladybug rolled her eyes, "you're a pupa, you know that, right?"
"Sometimes, you don't have to benefit you lucky charm by coming up with some overly complicatedly plan, but you could just simply yank it at your target!" She threw the gramophone record player aiming at Chrysalide, and landed right on top of his head.
As he was busy being flustered and recovering from a headache caused by Ladybug, Ladybug escaped and retreated safely.
Luckily, Chrysalide lost Ladybug's trace that could bring them to Master Fu's house, and once again, Master's Fu's identity as well as the heroes' headquarter remained hidden from Hawk Moth.
