After we picked up breakfast, and cleaned all the dishes, we walked and sat on the couches, sitting in an awkward silence.

"Hey guys why don't we play truth or dare?" I asked. I heard a mix of "Yes" and "fines"

"Okay I'll start, robin truth or dare?" I began

"Dare"

"I dare you to tell bats that you were the one who broke the console on the batplane" I dared with a smirk.

Dick visibly paled. "No way, I don't want to be grounded for the next year"

"Wait I'm confused, if it was an accident, why would you be grounded?" M'gann asked

"Because bird boy over here is forbidden from touching the batplane without supervision, so he went ahead and played with it anyways and broke the console. Batman fumed about it and interrogated us, but he still doesn't know who did it" I smirked at dick. "Plus you were the one who chose dare"

Dick sighed, "Fine" then he walked up to the monitor, and called the big bad bat.

Batman answered with a glare. "Why are you calling?"

"Um, you see funny story" dick began he was rubbing the back of his neck, because he was super nervous "I may or may not have..... accidentally.... been the one who broke the console on the batplane" he finished sheepishly, glancing at his mentor before returning his gaze to the floor.

You couldn't see Batman start to fume unless you know him really well. "We will discuss this when you return at the end of the week" he then signed off.

Robin groaned. "Amethyst why did you have to go an make me do that, the fact that he is waiting for punishment just made the whole situation worse"

"I know" I shrugged while smirking. "Anyways on with the game, it's your turn robin"

He looked around for a second before getting a mischievous look on his face. "Amethyst truth or dare" I glared at him suspiciously.

"Dare"

"I dare you to" he paused as if thinking but I knew he was just pausing for dramatic affect. "Kiss Kaldur on the cheek" he finished while smirking. Blush rose on both mine and Kaldur's cheeks.

Not one to back down, I glared at him before getting up, walking over to Kaldur and kissing his cheek before going back to my spot and crossing my arms. I knew what he was doing, and there was no way he was going to know if I liked Kaldur or not but I had a sneaking suspicion he did.

"Alright fine, Wally truth or dare"

"No way I'm picking dare from either of you two, so truth."

"Name the most embarrassing moment of your life"

Blush crept up Wally's face. He knew exactly what I was talking about. "The first time I met the bat, I couldn't think straight and I ran into the wall" the team all gave him looks before bursting out laughing. Wally's face was now as red as a tomato. "Hey he's a scary guy"

"Alright Anyways, Kaldur truth or dare?" Wally asked.

"Dare"

"I dare you to jump into the pool, while screaming that you play ball like a girl" I laughed at his dare, understanding the reference to a movie called the sandlot and I just laughed, it was our summer movie tradition to watch it every year.

We all followed Kaldur into the pool room where he jumped into the pool, screaming that he played ball like a girl, sending me, dick, and Wally into laughing fits. Once Kaldur dried off the game continued.

"I believe it is my turn, Artemis truth or dare?"

"Um dare"

"I dare you to shoot an arrow into that crack on the wall, from across the room" he dared.

"Easy" she got her arrows from her room and did the dare easily.

"Ok my turn, Amethyst truth or dare"

"Truth"

"Were you guys really just talking in your room last night?" My cheeks burned, I didn't want to tell everyone that I was having a nightmare, dick and Wally were on either side of me, and grabbed both of my hands, the universal sign of comfort.

"No artemis we were secretly plotting a way to take down the team" I answered sarcastically. It was a half truth, we weren't talking but we also weren't planning the team's downfall. I clenched my jaw as my parents murder flashed in my eyes, and I had to resist the urge to cry. Tomorrow was the Anniversary and it was getting harder by the hour. Dick squeezed my hand, as if he knew what I was thinking.

"How about we pause the game and eat some lunch, I'm starving." Thank goodness for Wally and his need to eat. He gave me a reassuring squeeze of my hand and all three of us stood up, dropping our hands but both keeping near to me in case I needed them. I thanked my lucky stars I had a brother and a friend like these to boys.

We all walked to the kitchen as a pack, and served ourselves some food. I got some chips, and both Wally, and dick kept stealing them.

"Leave my chips alone will you" I snapped playfully.

"No way, somehow you always get the best chips." I rolled my eyes at dicks comment, and just sat quietly in my seat.

After a few more rounds, and hours passed, I declared I was going to bed early.

Dick shot me a look, and I gave a slight nod, I wanted to be alone for the moment.

When I got to my room, I locked the door, and just sat on my bed, clutching a pillow and crying silently. My mind kept showing me horrifying flashes of the day my parents died. I tried to think of the positives of that day, like how we had gone to Denny's for a special breakfast or how Bruce hugged me after he found me. I couldn't help but think back to my brothers at the house, how I missed their bear hugs already even though it's only been a few days, and how dad would always take me to uncle Jim's house and we'd eat a special dinner.

My parents died on the worst possible day, my birthday. I just sat there and cried, not even remembering when the darkness overtook me for sleep. Tomorrow was my birthday, the worst day in the world.
