Chapter fourteen

By now everyone had taken off their masks, and my brothers were filling me in on everything that happened since I disappeared. There was apparently a new young justice team that Damian was on, but Kaldur took the role as the den mother, M'gann and Connor finally got together but M'gann was like Batman to the original team, she copiloted with Kaldur to run the team, Wally and Artemis also got together, and were still heroes just not part of the team anymore, they still helped out but they weren't on the the active team.  A few months ago Kaldur  and Artemis went on a deep cover mission, where they pretended to play roles in black manta's team, because Kaldur was actually black manta's son, and Artemis is called tigress.

Dick became Nightwing after I died and did a solo gig in bluhaven, before coming back when Jason apparently died, came back and was the red hood now, Tim couldn't handle being robin so he opted to become Red Robin instead leaving Damian to pick up the title.

I filled them in on what I remembered and how I just woke up five years later. That was pretty much my whole story.

By the time we were done, Alfred requested that we eat family dinner, together, we all walked up the stairs, I was holding dickie's hand, Damian was still clutching my arm, Tim was holding my other hand, and Jason had his hand on my shoulder, it was like they were afraid I'd disappear any second, and they were hoping that touching some part of me would stop that, I guess I did just disappear on them, but I understood their hesitation to let me out of their sight, much less grasp.

We had to separate for dinner but Damian sat next to me, and so did dickie, scooting their chairs so that it was more a bench that three individual chairs.

Dinner passed silently, everyone seemed to be on edge so I suggested something we could all do together.

"Hey what if we watched a movie?" Nods echoed each other around the dinner table.

"That seems like a great idea Daphs, what did you have in mind?" Dick asked

"How about Mary Poppins?"

Approval was seen around the table, we all had to be very careful about the movies we watched especially if they had a parent death in them because depending on the movie you could cause a panic attack for that person like the lion king would be a no go because the dad died by falling because somebody pushed him, that would be the no for dick because his parents died after they fell, Marry Poppins was a nice safe bet because nobody dies, and it's a cheery movie.

After dinner we all settled on one couch. I sat next to dad, dickie sat on the other side of me, tim and Jason sat in front of me leaning against my legs, and Damian curled up on my lap.

The movie started, and pretty soon everyone fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up, dad was gone, probably to go to work, and I guess Tim and Damian had school because they were also gone but dickie and Jason still remained, dick stirred when I started to get up as well as Jason who had been leaning against my legs.

"Hey guys how'd you sleep?" I asked

"Fine, but we still have to tell the league and Kaldur where you've been, it's gonna be so fun" dick answered sarcastically. 

"Oh please dickiebird we aren't the ones who have to tell Superman that his niece came back without telling him" Jason said while smirking at me. Realization dawned on my face, I buried my head in my hands.

"Aw man now they won't let me go anywhere alone ever again"

"Well I mean it's not like we were ever going to let that happen but its gonna be worse with the league, oh and we haven't even discussed Kaldur" Jason said seriously.

"I think I might have already talked to him because when I first woke up, I tried radioing the cave and I think he picked up, but he sounded older"

"It's been a long five years daphs" dick responded.

I nodded "so does anyone on the team, new or old know our secret identities?"

Dick shook his head "nope batman's hush hush rule is still in place although everyone noticed his mood every year after you disappeared so they thought it was best not to tick him off"

A sudden realization hit me "does the league know it was me?"

Jason smirked "nope but guess who gets to explain that to them"

"Ugh the league is going to kill me" I dramatically dropped back on the couch.

"How about we start small we can introduce you to the new team, just hope that none of the league drop in or else will you won't be able to avoid them" dick suggested

"Okay lets do that, maybe I can do that team as well, I'm sure dami would love that"

"Yeah good luck convincing the bat to let you do that, I'm surprised he left you alone with us" Jason scoffed.

"Well I'm going with dick, are you coming?"

"Absolutely, there's no way I'm missing this" Jason said. 

After changing into our hero uniforms, We walked down to the zeta tubes, beaming towards our destination.

We arrived at the mountain, only for a little green boy to come running up to nightwing.

"Nightwing, black manta's son is in the living room!!"

"Thank you Garth but he is here for a reason I'll take care of it"

As if just noticing me, he just about squealed. "Oh my gosh are you the girl who went toe to toe with the joker and won?"

It was true I had gone against the joker several times in the months before I got shot and this whole mess started, the first time I ever won, joker had been broadcasting the fight hoping to unmask the bat, but while he was busy I took him on, i surprised myself by actually winning, I just knocked him out after fighting him, it was very difficult but in the end we sent him back to Arkham and apparently I got YouTube famous.

"But wait I thought you died" he asked cocking an eyebrow

"Gar you can't just ask someone that" M'gann scolded, as she entered the room before fully taking me in. When she saw me her hands went to her face covering her mouth and nose.

"Amethyst is that you? Oh my gosh it is!!" She flew forward and hugged me very tightly.

"Hey M'gann it's really good to see you" suddenly she shoved me back.

"Where have you been all this time, I was worried sick!!"

"Well when joker blasted me, I kinda just got sent five years into the future, so to me I saw you like two days ago but you and Conner weren't a couple"

"Whoa no way" Garth said in awe.

"Now all I have to do is go tell Kaldur I'm still alive" I said pinching the bridge of my nose.

This would be interesting.
