Chapter thirteen

A couple of months later, the team solves the rifts with Artemis and Amethyst better friends, and now everyone gets along. The relationship between Kaldur and Daphne only grew and they were steadily dating.

The team gets a mission that involved joker getting a fancy new gun, the league didn't know what it did and Amethyst was shot with her entire body disappearing. Amethyst wakes up in a very strange place.

Daphne's POV

I woke up to my surroundings, covered in undergrowth. The last thing I remember was going on a mission against the joker, and there was a blinding light that hit me. I sat up and put a hand against my pounding head. I tried radioing the cave.

"Hello Amethyst to cave, Amethyst to cave does anyone read me?"

"I don't know how you got this frequency or what you are playing at but call this again and there will be repercussions" I was in shock in sounded like Kaldur, but that couldn't be possible he sounded so much older, and I don't understand why I wasn't recognized.

I got up, and walked out of the building, the mission had been in Gotham so I guess I'm just walking to the manor. I looked down at my costume, I couldn't walk around Gotham like this, unless I wanted a fight, so I walked in the shadows hoping to not draw any attention to myself, and slipped into a local department store.

I walked around finding my sizes and went to the changing room, thankfully I carried a bit of money on me so after buying a backpack I stored all my hero stuff in the bag, and dropped money on the counter when the lady wasn't looking.

I ventured down the streets of Gotham trying to get my bearings. Once I knew where I was I walked to the manor. On the way there a news paper caught my attention, I looked through my sunglass shielded eyes to the paper.

'Billionaire Bruce Wayne's adoptive daughter, Daphne King Wayne, death anniversary is coming, Wayne is said to have a big event donating to the girl's favorite charity, while he mourns the loss of the girl is has been a sad five years since her passing..'

Wait FIVE years, there's no way, I'm not dead but how could it have been five years. With a new determination I set forth to the manor to get answers from the bat.

A couple of hours later the sun went down and I was still walking, I didn't have enough money for a taxi and my phone died, so walking it was, in the most dangerous city, at night. Yeah real smart Amethyst, just a true genius.

Suddenly I hear "what's a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?" As I pass an ally way. I opted to ignore the man, and slightly quickened my pace hoping to lose him. I turned a corner right into a dead end, ugh I grew up in this city and I totally forgot that this ally in particular was a dead end. I look behind me to my peruser who has got a whole gang by now. One was really looking nervous although I had no idea why.

"Hey randy maybe we shouldn't rob her tonight, or this week, the bat gets real bad this time of the year and I don't want to come across him"

"Shut it Gary, all she has to do is give us her bag and we'll leave her alone" he says as he pulls out a pocket knife.

I can't risk my ID because dad would kill me but I didn't know what to do.

"Well I don't know about you but I sure would run now" I look up to see a robin uniform, but he's got a hood attached to his cape, and I can tell it's not dickie.

The guys look at me before a look of fear crosses their faces. They run away as fast as possible, I suddenly realize why would they be afraid of me?

I turn around only to see my dad standing there in all his glory. Although his suit is different, the armor is darker, and there's a little chin square instead of before. My eyes widen, before I could think of anything else I hugged him, he stiffened, I pulled back.

"Okay I'm confused, I mean I know batman saved your life and everything but aren't you like like I don't know afraid?" Robin asked me.

"Why would I be afraid of my dad? Also where'd dickie go?"

Robin's white eyes widened in surprise before he almost tackled me in a hug. His words were a little muffled in my shirt but I heard it anyways. "I missed you daphs" I hugged him back. I looked behind me, and dad seemed to be in shock.

"Hey dad what happened? I was blasted by the joker's gun and I just woke up like a few hours ago in an overgrown warehouse."

Dad just turned around and stalked off to what I presume to be the batmobile. I followed but at a slower pace because this robin didn't seem to want to let go of me, so I sucked it up and followed dad to the car.

I climbed into the passenger seat, and shared it with robin, as soon as the top of the car closed robin ripped off his mask, and stared at me, I would recognize those big green eyes anywhere.

"Dami? When did you become robin?"

"It's been a long five years" was all dad said through the whole ride. Damian clutched onto my arm like it was a life support, and the whole drive was silent the rest of the way. Once we were in the cave dad hopped out of the car leaving me with Damian. Dad reached the monitors, sending out four signals, I assume to get whoever he was calling to the cave.

Seconds later the clock opening opened, and out stepped Alfred, he calmly walked down the steps.

"I see we have a guest master Bruce, would you like me to show her to a room?"

"We have to wait until the others get here first."

"Alright, master Bruce"

About twenty minutes later the zeta beam announced the new arrivals.

"Nightwing B0-1, Red Hood B2-2, Red Robin B1-3 Recognized"

Out walked a group of people nightwing I presumed seemed to be in his very early twenties, maybe even nineteen, Red Hood, I also guessed looked, well it was hard to tell because he had a helmet on but his body seemed to be seventeen to eighteen, Red Robin seemed to be early teen years maybe thirteen or fourteen.

"What's up bats? Who's this?" Nightwing asked.

"Boys this is Daphne, your sister"

"Wait daphne as in our daphne that got shot by the joker and died daphne?" Red Robin asked.

The people who had entered seemed to be in shock, so I tried to try to get answers.

"Hey I'm still here and in case you haven't noticed I don't know the three of you, I only recognized the dynamic duo and Alfred so if we could just drop pretenses and figure out what the heck Is going on, i'd really appreciate it"

Nightwing put a mocking hand to his chest "Why daph you wound me, you don't recognize your own brother?" He exclaimed before running over and almost tackling me, trapping me in a bone crushing hug.

The other two seemed to get out of their shock, also running towards me and turning it into a group hug sesh.
