jongdae woke up in the middle of the night. that wasn't anything new for him. sometimes he fell off the bed and other times he just woke up for no reason at all. but this time it was different.

he woke up in minseok's bed.

he rubbed at his eyes, almost sure he was hallucinating when he saw minseok's nightstand. he slowly sat up, drinking in his surroundings. he really was in minseok's room, sleeping in his bed.

am i dreaming?

oh shit, what if i died and this is heaven?

wait no, that can't be right, with the shit i've done i'm almost certainly going to hell.

holy fucking hell is this actually happening?

"what?" jongdae shook his head, trying to figure out what the hell he was doing in minseok's bed. he slowly got up from the bed, grabbing his glasses which were on minseok's nightstand.

jongdae slowly made his way out of the room, wondering where minseok was. he blinked, trying to leave his state of drowsiness. he was about to head to the living room to see if minseok was there, but he passed by a door that was slightly open, light seeping through the small crack in the doorway. his head tilted as he silently entered, seeing none other than kim minseok slouched over a desk, looking rather stressed as he went through some paperwork. he frowned, slowly exiting the room without minseok even noticing he was there.

he went to the kitchen, making sure to be so quiet that minseok wouldn't hear him at all. he slowly opened the fridge so that it wouldn't make a loud sound when he did, looking to see what beverages minseok had.

why doesn't he have peach tea?

he frowned as he grabbed a pitcher of normal tea and some peaches, peeling them and cutting them before throwing them into the tea. he swished then around, letting the flavor sink in. he cleaned up his mess quickly and then poured minseok a glass, finding a couple of ice cubes in the freezer to put in it. finally, he put the now peach tea back into the fridge so it would get colder.

he shuffled back over to minseok's office with the glass in his hand, peeking through the door to see minseok still leafing through some heavy stacks of paper. he walked over to him, minseok finally noticing his presence.

"hey, peach, when did you wake up?" minseok asked him, jongdae placing the glass in front of him.

"five- maybe five minutes ago?" jongdae shrugged, "what're you doing up so late?"

"just some work," minseok said, looking at the glass in front of him, "what's this, darling?"

"made you tea," jongdae yawned, rubbing at his eyes, "peach."

minseok sipped it, smiling when he realized there was actual peaches and it wasn't artificially flavored.

"thank you, honey," minseok told him, "so why're you up?"

"i dunno," jongdae whined slightly, "sleep isn't my friend."

minseok chuckled at the boy's cuteness, leaning back in his office chair. jongdae slipped into his lap, burying his head into the elder's chest.

"come on, darling, let's get you back to bed," minseok said, standing up while carrying jongdae.

"you too," jongdae whined, legs wrapping around minseok's waist to support himself. he looked up at minseok.

"i have work to do, bub," minseok told him, moving around his desk. jongdae pouted up at him, giving him his best puppy eyes. minseok sighed, not able to resist jongdae.

"alright, alright, you win," minseok conceded, shutting the light off as he left his home office. jongdae smiled sleepily, placing a kiss on minseok's cheek.

"you're the best, minseokie."

minseok could only smile back at jongdae. he wasn't the best. he was a twenty-seven year old man with a wife who was spending far too much time with a sixteen year old teenage boy. he wasn't sure how that qualified as the best.

"you put me on far too much of a pedestal, dae," minseok told the younger as he carried him to his bedroom. jongdae shrugged, minseok placing him down gently on the bed. minseok crawled in besides him, jongdae automatically curling into his side. the elder sighed, content as he reached down and intertwined their fingers.

"goodnight, minseokie," jongdae told him, almost instantaneously falling asleep. minseok stared at him for a second. he knew jongdae was attractive, but he never really soaked in just how beautiful he actually was. his cheekbones made his face structure look ethereal. his lips were in a natural whiny pout, so pink that dolls would be jealous. his eyelashes were long, almost feminine.

you're so pretty, jongdae-ah.

minseok closed his eyes, arms tightly around jongdae's waist. it was quiet, peaceful even, the only sounds being the ceiling fan and jongdae's steady breathing. moments like these never last, and minseok knew that, so he did his best to soak it in as much as he could. he took in a deep breath, mentally wishing that maybe, just maybe, soyeon wouldn't come back and that maybe jongdae could have more than just lust for him.

unfortunately, he knew that would never happen.

"goodnight, love."
