sehun stared at minseok, sitting across from him at the elder's dining table."you're an idiot," sehun told him, "a complete fucking moron, you ungrateful asshat."
"are you done?" minseok whispered, staring at sehun with empty eyes.
"i knew you were stupid, i just never figured you were this stupid," sehun replied. minseok just looked back blankly at him.
"she's my wife," he spoke softly.
"your marriage doesn't mean shit and we all know it."
"we've been married since i was eighteen."
"the biggest mistake you probably ever made in your adolescence."
"til death do us part."
"you don't really love him."
"i love him, don't you dare fucking say that i don't."
"alright then. you love him. but you don't love him enough," sehun spoke, "you hurt him."
"i know."
"you shouldn't have gotten him that bracelet. it would have ended before he seriously fell in love."
"he loves me?"
"were you born stupid or was a gradual thing that happened?"
"i don't need some teenager calling me an idiot."
"it's important that you know. you picking her- it's the biggest mistake you'll ever make in your entire sorry life, and we both fucking know it," sehun scoffed, "do you even know how fucking lucky you are? kim jongdae is in love with you. and all you do is whine and bitch about how you're married. no one gives a fuck. grow up, learn how to make good decisions. god, i can't even believe i'm sitting here with you, telling you to make the right decision. you're a fucking adult."
"i promised to love her till the day i die."
"then you're already breaking promises, because there is no way you love her. you love the idea of her. your wife, by your side forever until you both die. guess what? she's not by your side. are you going to continue fighting for a marriage that already ended or are you going to man up and stop being a coward?"
"please leave now," minseok told sehun. sehun shook his head, standing up.
"kim jongdae is a good thing for you- don't fuck it up."
sehun slammed the door as he left. minseok just sat there in the chair. he reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out the diamond bracelet. his thumb brushed over one of the sapphires. he continued to sit there until his wife got home from work, quickly pocketing the bracelet when he heard her car pull up. she walked in, surprised to see minseok sitting there. she rose an eyebrow.
"what're you doing sitting in the dark?" she asked, placing her purse down.
"sit down," he told her, voice shaky.
"what's going on?" she asked, sitting across from him, where sehun had previously sat. minseok shook his head, tears filling his eyes.
"soyeon, what happened to us?"
