minseok sighed as he showered. he was back in his own house, and he was busy trying to wash the scent of peaches off of him before soyeon got home from wherever the hell she was.

he stepped out of shower, back to his manly scent. he changed quickly, drying his hair.

"i'm home!" soyeon yelled, the front door slamming. minseok sighed.

how can she call it a home when it feels more like a prison?

"ah, jongdae, why are you here?" he heard her voice say. his eyes widened and he quickly ran out, wearing nothing but adidas joggers. he had his towel on his shoulders.

"oh, hey, mr. kim," jongdae smiled at him innocently, as though they hadn't fucked like rabbits in heat only thirty minutes before.

"ah, hello, jongdae," minseok gave him a smile. he held up minseok's watch.

fuck. must've left it.

"i got it fixed for you like you asked, mr. kim," jongdae told him, holding his watch out for him, "it tells time again."

that's my smart boy.

"thanks, jongdae," minseok said, taking it from him and putting it on his wrist.

"that's fifty bucks, remember?" jongdae smiled sweetly. minseok rose an eyebrow.

you little hustler.

"of course. let me grab my wallet," minseok said, walking over to the coat rack and grabbing it from his jacket. he pulled out a fifty, handing it to jongdae.

"great! thanks, mr. kim," jongdae said sweetly, then looking to soyeon, "how was your christmas, ms. soyeon?"

"it was fine, jongdae. yours?" she asked, voice steely, "that's a lovely bracelet. where did you get it?"

"oh, it was gift from my boyfriend," jongdae said, lifting the sleeve of his hoodie to show off the expensive jewelry a little more. soyeon grinned.

"oh, you have a boyfriend?" soyeon asked, voice not quite as harsh now. minseok wanted to laugh at her stupidity, adrenaline pumping in his veins.

"mhmm," jongdae nodded. soyeon clapped her hands together.

"oh, lovely! what's his name?" she asked. jongdae blinked, spilling out the first name he thought of.

"oh sehun," he said quickly. minseok didn't mind- he knew jongdae was just forming a cover story.

"ah, how nice. you should invite him for dinner," soyeon told jongdae, "you aren't busy, are you?"

"how sweet of you," jongdae smiled, "no worries, my schedule is empty. let me text him to let him know."

"perfect? is he that boy you kissed at the christmas party?" soyeon asked jongdae. jongdae shook his head.

"no, that was my friend jongin. he was drunk- too much champagne, he thought i was his boyfriend, kyungsoo," jongdae lied like it was his job, texting on his phone quickly, "sehun is free. he says he can be here in ten minutes."

"lovely! i'll make some food quickly, is spaghetti alright with you?"

"he says he can cook when he's here," jongdae said, "he's a bit of a master chef."

"is he? how fun," soyeon said, sitting on the couch, "so, is he the same age as you?"

"no, he's a year older," jongdae said, "i like older men."

minseok held back his snicker, sitting down besides soyeon, not too close so that he didn't have to deal with her leaning into him.

"scandalous," soyeon laughed. jongdae gave a smile, though it more resembled a smirk.

"you have no clue."

"so what does he cook?" soyeon asked, "tell me everything. what's his height? does he do well in his classes? does he work? how long have you been together?"

"i've got a picture of him," jongdae said, going through their chat messages. minseok noticed they texted often. he wasn't sure how to feel about that, because he also texted baekhyun often, but sehun wasn't a cousin.

"wow! so handsome," soyeon said, "do you have one of him smiling? i'm sure he has a charming smile."

"ah, he's a bit of a tsundere, i'm afraid," jongdae replied, "doesn't smile too often. oh, and he's 6'0, he works at his mother's restaurant, and he can apparently cook anything but he makes a mean fried chicken."

"wow, 6'0? that sounds too good to be true, i'm excited to meet him," soyeon said excitedly, "how long have you been dating?"

"almost two years now," jongdae nodded, still texting sehun but not looking at his keyboard. minseok rose an eyebrow at the younger, and when soyeon was distracted with picking some lint off of her sweater, jongdae winked at him. minseok smirked, but it fell right off of his face when the doorbell rang.

"wow, he was fast," soyeon said. jongdae nodded, soyeon getting up from the couch to go open the door.

"ah... hello... is there a kim jongdae here?" sehun's unmistakably deep voice questioned.

"yes! come in, come in, your picture doesn't do you justice," soyeon told him, letting him into the house. sehun looked around briefly before his gaze fell upon jongdae.

"ah, babe, i'm glad to see you're wearing the bracelet i got you," sehun smiled fully, jongdae a bit surprised because of the rarity of such a smile from sehun. but jongdae quickly recovered, getting off of the couch and giving sehun a kiss on the cheek.

"mm, well, you know my style too well," jongdae laughed. sehun gave minseok a knowing look.

"nice to meet you, mr. kim, i'm oh sehun," sehun said, shaking the man's hand, easily taller than him. minseok didn't feel the least bit threatened. sehun was only there to help.

"please, call me minseok," minseok replied, shaking sehun's hand back, "it's great to finally meet you, sehun."

"you as well," sehun nodded, arm slinging over jongdae's shoulders, "so, where's the kitchen?"

"follow me," soyeon said, pulling sehun along and accidentally pulling jongdae with him, "so, sehun, how do you do in your classes?"

"i'm valedictorian of my class, ma'am," sehun told her, "what would you all like to eat, i can cook just about everything."

"jongdae said you make awesome fried chicken," soyeon said, "i know we have ingredients for it."

"oh, sure, no problem," sehun nodded, letting go of jongdae and grabbing some stuff out of the fridge, "so, how long have you lived next to my boyfriend?"

"a couple of years now," soyeon answered, "we didn't really know him until just now, though."

"hmm... that can't be right, i distinctly remember jongdae telling me of how he used to throw water balloons at minseok when he was younger," sehun said. jongdae groaned.

"i never should have told you that," jongdae said. sehun let out a deep little laugh.

"you really shouldn't have, baby."
