On the way, Hopper told me that a man attacked him at the lab which made me fully shocked . I mean the lab's already closed . Who could still be there .
When we arrived at Hawkins Town hall. Hopper commanded "Kim, just stay down here and distract people who'd come into the mayor's office, they could disturb our investigation"
I nodded at him and Joyce , obeying his order knowing that he understood this situation more than me, and they both barged into the Mayor's office , greeted by his secretary.
Waiting outside the room , I put my hands inside the pockets of my jacket , nervously biting my lips as I could hear slamming noises plus Mayor's yelling and groaning voice , "Hopper being hopper" I thought .
A few minutes later, both Joyce and Hopper came out dragging the bloody mayor by his collar. I think hopper broke his nose. "Jesus" I muttered " what now?"
Hopper threw his car key at me which I gradually caught as he replied "drive to his house, we gotta teach him some lessons". "Yes Sir" without hesitation I did what he said and we walked towards Chief's car.
As he hold firmly and roughly on the mayor's collar , Joyce Hissed "Easy on him, Hopper!" "No"he muttered bluntly.
Gee, these two are always quarreling like a married couple . guess I really need to ship them now.

Soon after we arrived at the Mayor's house, I spoke out "hey you shot this by yourself?" by Pointing at the zebra rug downstairs . "Thats .. that's fake" mayor replied ."No Shit!" Hopper said with sarcasm.
At mayor's bedroom , he gave us out the land deeds and transfer of property from his safe , which made Joyce realized something and stated " hold on a second . Kim come with me" . She led me outside the room to look at a map
I realize what she wanted to say and I continued " oh my god they're all here! They're all in Southeast Hawkins, right near the Jordan lakes!"
Joyce smiled and said " and what else's near Jordan lake?" . I gasped with my eyes wide and said "The Power plant" .
I could see that Hopper was listening what we were saying just behind us.
Joyce continued "four nights ago, there was a huge power outage and on the next day..."
" your magnets fell from your fridge" I answered.
"Also Scott said that this machine needs a massive power to run"
I finally understand what she meant so I informed " so if this machine that we've been talking about does exists and the reason why you guys didn't find it at the lab is because it isn't at the lab and it is one of these properties"
Joyce smiled at me and said " exactly !! that's what I meant " .
Hopper was quite surprised by our investigating skill and complimented "I want umm.. Joyce to forget about the sales and Kim to stop working as a waitress.You two should work for me at Hawkins PD"
I was flattered by his words while Joyce said "and have to look at your face everyday? I don't think so"
Hopper smiled at how Joyce reacted to his compliment . Seriously though, I can see that their chemistry is so sweet and strong. However, it's now obvious that I'm a third wheel to them.
Suddenly, Mayor walked out from his room and interrupted our conversation saying, "You're Kimberly Gray right?"
He continued walking towards me and chuckled "and you know , a pretty girl like you should just spend the night with me here instead of investigating cases"
Hopper just simply turned around and gave him a single punch which made him knocked out and angrily growled " don't YOU EVER insult her like that you piece of shit"
"Come on chief, let it be ,we should be going"I calmed him the best I could .
Soon after we tied the mayor at his bed's headboard, we headed for the one of the houses that were in the records. - - Note : Fasten your seat belt everyone , we are gonna meet our Alexei, next chapter ❤️
This will be the outfit that Kimberly's wearing though :))
