"Alright, time to go to the basement " Hopper informed. I nodded as I checked on Alexei to see that he's a little bit recovered now.
"Let's do it" I quoted as I carefully helped Alexei to get up . Will hugged his mom and then came to me saying "Promise me you'll be ok down there". I also gave a big hug to my-little-brother-like friend and comforted him "of course I'll be okay, And plus Next week I can make you pancake and play D&D together , sounds okay?" Will pulled back from the hug and chuckled "more than okay, Kim" .
After reunion with our friends at star court, our original gang- Hopper,Joyce,Murray and Alexei and I rushed towards secret elevator to go to the Russian Base and turn off the generator.
The elevator ride was long. While the rest were discussing about how to get in, I was staying silent at the back because I'm having a bad feeling about what'll happen down there.
I tried to calm my nerves by closing my eyes and breathing slowly . But the thought that there are god-knows-how-many Russian people down there that could kill all of us.
Suddenly , I felt a warm yet gentle hand on my left shoulder which made me stop overthinking. It was Alexei who started comforting me by hugging me from the side and slowly rubbing my left arm .I looked up at him with my worried eyes because I am not sure if I could keep him safe down there . I don't want to lose him again. I can't , I just can't.
He eye smiled at me as he always used to which made me feel safe for a bit. Well, I guess it's the beautiful charm of this man.
The elevator stopped which indicated that we have arrived. Then, Alexei gestured me to stay behind him . The elevator door has opened which revealed five Russian guards who were holding guns at us .
Without hesitation, Alexei and Murray tried to communicate with them. I had no idea what they were talking with the guards but it seem to be not working. All of sudden, Hopper who knew that we're in danger, pull out his machine gun and shot all of the Russians.
"Jesus!" Joyce hissed while I was covering my ears from the loud gun shots. We strip the uniforms from the guards to wear it as a disguise so that we could sneak in easily.
Murray stayed in the secret under ground ventilation system to shut the power system. With Alexei's help, we could easily get the keys and sneak into the generator control room.

The control room was so science like, it was just like in the science movies I've seen. Have Alexei been working here for a long time? I could see the generator from the control room.It really was opening the gate to the upside down. As a two men rules, Alexei and Hopper pushes down the keys together before turning them.
"One, two and then let's turn" Hopper informed to Alexei as he started counting..
